Coal mine safety is one part of public safety in our country. It is a very necessary to safeguard lives and property of coal mine safety. The safety monitoring equipment is not commonly used in China's coal mine. The current production used has many insufficiencies and can't meet the requirements of the security production in the coal mine. In this paper, a coal mine safety monitoring equipment has been designed to overcome shortcomings of the coal mine production safety in the practical applications. The research and development of an underground mine safety monitoring system closely are associated with the scientific and technological project in Hunan Province. The main research contents of this thesis are as follows:An underground cable and wireless communication scheme is proposed, which is based on deeply research and analysis of the status of underground wireless communications technology at home and abroad, and the characteristics of spread-spectrum communication technology, as well as the demand of coal mine personnel positioning monitoring. The basic idea is to construct the overall structure of the network of the down hole monitoring using RS-485 bus and the ZigBee technology truss. After analyzing and comparing several features of some commonly used radio frequency band, the wireless communications band has been selected according to the special circumstances of the communication system used in coal mine. The communication protocol of monitoring and control based on RS-485 bus has been proposed. A deep research on IEEE802.15.4 norms has been done, including its physical layer, its media control layer of the relevant norms of the statute. Contraposing the special requirements of the design of underground wireless communications, A software flow connecting wireless signal acquisition module and personnel identification card process has been designed, in which TI's CC2430 RF transceiver chip is used as RF chip. The entire hardware design is completed, including the development of the underground monitoring station (repeater), underground mobile staff identification cards, portable wireless devices for search and rescue and acquisition circuit design of gas concentration, environmental temperature and humidity, radio frequency signal. The main circuit of the working principle and the design and debug situation has been proposed.Sample system designed has been tested under the laboratory environment. Performance meets the project requirements in the task of the book. The results show that the R&D has effectiveness and practical value.
