In The Information Education Function Of Academic Library In China

The library is an important part of college. Academic libraries'main task is not only to provide document resources service with teaching and researching but also to undertake education work to students with education function. Information edueation to students is a very important aspect of libraries'education function. In the present situation, researching academic libraries'information education function is highly meaningful to meet requirement for reforming and developing chinese higher education and foster talents who can bring forth new ideas and is also an important topic for library staff. This paper mainly used ways of philology to analyze significance and unique superiority of academic libraries'information edueation. Based on the foregoing, this paper expounded current situation in the academic libraries'information education in china. In the end, this article posed some countermeasures to implement academic libraries'information education function. By study the paper thinks that information education is very much important for contemporary undergraduate to train ability of blazing new trails and lifelong learning. Academic leaders and the department concerned should make use of all kinds of beneficial factors to advance libraries'information edueation work because academic libraries have favorable conditions beyond compare.The paper analyzed current situation in the academic libraries'information education in china now and proposed some practicable countermeasures, that is to say, enough emphasizing students'information education and putting it into academic education plan, increasing a good environment to suit to develop information education, building a good network information environment from libraries'rules and regulation constructing beginning, improving librarians'overall quality, strengthening students information literacy, constructing a reasonable system of information education course, establishing a scientific evaluation standard system of information education, reforming teaching contents and methods, encouraging students to participate libraries'work and strengthening collaboration among academic libraries. The only way ensures that the information education function of academic libraries can realize smoothly.
