Research On Educational Function Of Academic Library

Library is the information center of University.It undertakes information services function and educational function.According the development and prevalence of information technology,progress of the education innovation,library has changed and taken more roles.At first the thesis summaries the chance and challenge of academic library in new era and points out that academic library undertakes more educational function.Secondly,the thesis analyzes what it means and new performance of educational function.Thirdly the thesis analyzes how Neijiang Normal University Library has performed educational function and draws a conclusion about it shortcomings.Fourthly the thesis analyze those factors that restrict the educational function.In the end the thesis put forward some suggestions and measures of how to improve the educational function of academic library,such as establishing an evaluation system for educational function,promoting professional services,creating information literacy,developing lifelong self-education.
