With the steady increase of economic aggregate, the demand for coal is very high,often the accident happen because of the ill-being of coal. China has been put emphasis on the coal mine safety and has adopted a series of measures to continuously strengthen the safety production. Many coal mines have been equipped with mine safety monitoring system, which to some extent, effectively curb the occurrence of some major accidents. However, most of mines are lack of real-time monitoring of underground workers, the effective management of employee attendance, as well as it is difficult for the people above the mines to orientate underground personnel timely. Especially, the lost regulatory of some key positions will lead to greater security risks. In addition, the complex terrain of underground brings a lot of difficulties to the staff evacuation and incident rescue in the event of accident. An early identification of the location of underground personnel, will bring great convenience to the rescue work. The orientation system of underground personnel is designed for this reason. It realized tracking location of the underground personnel, emergency alarm handling. It can access to the distribution of underground workers timely, and give the corresponding period of the history of track downhole personnel in order to make a comprehensive analysis of the information of underground employees.Combined with the current research and study of the underground orientate system, we propose that using the 2.4G high-frequency radio chip NRF24E1, the enhanced MCS-51 core chip W77E58 MCU and PC to design a general system.The whole system can be divided into two parts, including the lower computer system and the host computer system.(1) The lower computer system can be comprised of the electronic tag, the radio frequency card-reader and the data collect sub-station. Electronic tag using radio chip nRF24E1, is in charge of sending the staff number. In the design process of the electronic tag,I mainly considered the data collision problem and how to avoid this problem using the data carrier sense collision avoidance algorithm. The radio frequency card-reader is comprised of RF receiving module, SRAM module, display module and data transmission module, which is in charge of real-time monitoring the exsistence of electronic tags and stores the number and time which is monitored to the SRAM, then sends the date to the data collect sub-station by the RS485 and displays the number of electronic tag. In the design process of the RF card-reader,I mainly consideredt the problem that how to determine the movement direction of the electronic tag. The data collect sub-station is comprised of CPU, SRAM, data transmission module and real-time clock module, which is in charge of the collection of information, storage, processing and communication. I mainly considered its transmission distance and communication way with all its readers. System software includes the design of electronic tags, radio frequency card reader, data collect sub-station and so on. System software design borrowed ideas from object-oriented thinking, adopted the modular design method, and divided the whole software system into several relatively independent modules including initialization, transmit and receive of the RF signals, data acquisition and processing, real-time clock, RS485 communications and so on. We gave its software design concept and the design flow in detail, aiming at some modules.(2) The host computer system using the Delphi as development platform, the SQL 2000 as the background database, the MapX and SpComm as the main controls, and integrated the GIS technologies. By communicationing with the lower computer system, it mainly achieved the functions such as:track and location of underground personnel, historical track playback, real-time displaying of the total number of underground, checking the distribution of underground personnel, as well as report printing, alarming, self-test and some other functions.Currently, the research results have been adopt by the second radio factory of TaiAn, and is being popularized in coal mine, and is proved that the proposal and the technique is feasible.
