As an important component of the mountain station management modernization from the ShanDong Radio and Broadcasting Bureau, the automatic monitoring system is an integrated system of technology and management. Development of this system involves both hardware and software work. Currently, the full project spans from research and development, construction and final test run after completion. Owing to its stable running, the automation system plays an important role in management of broadcasting stations. Personals from microwave station can now remotely monitor the status of equipment in the stations in real time and provides instructions on equipment maintenance and robust power on-off control in real-time. This function greatly reduces labor intensity and pressure on the staffs on shift. Consequently it guarantees the safe broadcast.This thesis describes the details of this automation system from five aspects: system requirements, architecture, detailed design, implementation and final testing and installation. Key problems solved in the thesis work are:1. The overall design for the management of multiple transmitting stations located in different geographical positions.2. The standardization of the construction process for different hardware devices with different hardware interfaces in different stations to create the same interface for automation system.3. A transmitter data acquisition controller based on W77E58single board computer is designed and fabricated to make the transmitter automatic control more secure and robust. Each acquisition controller can independently manage a program transmitter(One transmitter and its backup or a single transmitter).4. Serial data processing on multi serial ports are accomplished using C++class combined with mapping multiple ports to the TCP network port using Winsock technology.5. The high real time packet push is completed by using WebSocket technology and data storage and management are done using MS-SQL2005. 6. The use of ASP dynamic Webpage realizes the network structure model of the BS architecture,provides a good interface for users, including real-time data display, remote control, alarm, historical data query, functions of alarm query printing and reporting.7. The transmitting station data acquisition is achieved by the use of data acquisition controller.
