Design And Realize Of Urban Pipeline Information System Based On MicroStation

With the rapidly development of city's economy and constant enlarge of city's dimension, Underground pipeline become more and more complex. At the moment, modernization of city request the high level of service in public utility such as power supply, water supply and so on. However, now the fact is that we manage these pipeline imformation in traditional mode, this management mode on underground pipeline has brought a lot of accidents. Although some units has managed pipeline data by means of electronic file, but, because they do not establish a database of pipeline, so they can not analyze and quest it , once there is any fault about underground pipeline, they will not take measure on it . So, to create a application system(urban pipeline information system) based on GIS is very urgent for us.Firstly this paper simply introduces the basic concept, study contents, development status and application in practice. It emphasizes the application of GIS in manage of urban underground pipeline. It simply introduces MicroStation, application platform of this system.Basis on the analysis of Changsha urban underground pipeline data actuality and the manage of current pipeline data, This paper points out the necessity and urgency of establishing Changsha urban underground pipeline information system. It describes mainly the process of systemdesign, including whole design, detail design, database design , security design, data structure and data code scheme, It introduces in detail how to create a graphic file of pipeline data on the MicroStation platform, and the exchange of data between the MicroStation and other GIS application software, At the same time, it introduces how to realize popular manage mode of GIS data on the MicroStation GeoGraphics, namely integratinggraphics and attribute.
