Entrepreneurship is the main channel to create economic value,the key driving force for social and economic development,and an important measure to improve people’s livelihood.In the era of digital economy,digital technology is subverting products,industries and markets,and fundamentally reshaping traditional business processes.Enterprises must consolidate their digital capabilities to remain competitive,and take service as the basis,customer experience as the guidance,while adopting a more intangible way to move to the digital world.A large number of scholars believe that the integration of the digital world and the physical world fundamentally affects the company’s operations and industry boundaries.In this transformation,the digitalization of enterprises is only a matter of time.On the one hand,the application of digital technology has promoted the integration of digital technology and corporate entrepreneurship,providing a new and efficient path for China’s economic growth.On the other hand,the deep integration of digital technology and corporate entrepreneurship also shows a new form of corporate entrepreneurship in the digital era for researchers in the field of entrepreneurship.However,the current research on corporate entrepreneurship in the digital era is still lacking in in-depth understanding and clear understanding.In order to let academic theories better guide practice and guide practice,the entrepreneurial behavior of enterprises in the digital era has been identified as the analysis target of this article,and studies the connotation,dimension measurement,driving mechanism and other scientific issues of corporate digital entrepreneurship,and wish to give some strategies and recommendations for enterprise entrepreneurship practice.After summarizing and summarizing the excellent entrepreneurial literature in recent years,digital entrepreneurship and enterprise entrepreneurship in the digital era,this paper believes that the corporate digital entrepreneurship(CDE)is an organizational innovation and value creation process in which incumbent enterprises use science and technology to obtain business opportunities or maintain and strengthen the existing competitive advantage and respond to the frequently changing environmental conditions.This study combs and summarizes the research dimensions,measurement methods,pre factors and other related theories of the CDE,and finds that the theoretical model of existing research on the CDE needs to be constructed,and its driving mechanism needs to be explored urgently.Therefore,from the perspective of configuration and holism,this paper carries out scientific exploration of related issues.First of all,this paper combs the origin,connotation,dimension division and research level of the two major research fields of corporate entrepreneurship and digital entrepreneurship,and clarifies the connotation of the CDE based on the integration and analysis of relevant theories of corporate entrepreneurship and digital entrepreneurship.Specifically,this paper refers to and draws lessons from existing research results,and measures it from three dimensions of digital strategy,digital innovation and digital business development;Based on literature review and theoretical analysis of relevant contingency factors,this paper constructs a theoretical model to drive the CDE from three aspects: decision logic,top management team factors,and environmental factor.Compared with previous studies,the research features of this paper mainly lie in: on the one hand,this paper makes a clear comparison and analysis of the antecedents of the research object,which provides a theoretical basis for the subsequent configuration path analysis;On the other hand,this paper abandons the traditional factor perspective,adopts complexity thinking and believes that the results are generated by multiple conditions interdependence(rather than mutual independence)and interaction,which is more consistent with the complexity essence of the real world.Secondly,this paper refines six antecedents that affect the CDE,and deeply analyzes the necessity and sufficiency between antecedents and outcome variables.This paper focuses on the entrepreneurial activities of incumbent enterprises in the digital era using digital technology,following the entrepreneurial perspective and strategic perspective,and believes that relevant entrepreneurial behaviors are the process of seeking entrepreneurial opportunities and establishing sustainable advantages.This paper extracts six factors that affect the CDE from three aspects:decision logic,top management team factors,and environmental factor,which are respectively calcium logic,effect logic,team dynamics,team flexibility,policy stability,and technology spillover.With the help of professional institutions,226 valid questionnaires were obtained through online interviews and offline surveys,electronic questionnaires and paper questionnaires.The antecedent configuration analysis of the CDE was conducted from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives by combining the qualitative comparative analysis(fs QCA)and the necessary condition analysis(NCA).The results show that there are 6 paths driving CDE.Specifically,the configuration results can be divided into two types: calcium logic dominated,effect logic dominated,and organization and environmental factor driven.Among them,there are two paths to drive the CDE of high level under the case logic,namely,technology spill over driven and policy stability driven;Under the effect logic,there are two paths to drive the CDE of high level,namely,policy stability support-technology spill over assistance type and non high factor driven type;There are two paths for the environmental factor to double drive the high-level CDE,both driven by top management team factor and environmental factors.Finally,the robustness of the configuration results is analyzed.By increasing the case frequency threshold and the PRI consistency threshold,we can change the case screening criteria.By comparing the configuration results before and after,we find that there is a clear subset relationship between the paths,and even there is a subset relationship between the two configurations after changing the number threshold and increasing the PRI consistency threshold.Therefore,the research results in this paper have strong robustness.In addition,the conclusions of this study provide some management implications for the digital entrepreneurship process of enterprises.First,there may be substitution effect between some environmental factors under the case logic condition.Second,there may be a linkage mechanism between policy stability and technology spill over under effect logic.Entrepreneurs need to reasonably and effectively integrate and match the existing resources of the enterprise,analyze the characteristics of team members,and choose the most effective path to promote the company’s digital entrepreneurship process.Third,there may be inhibition between team dynamics and team reflexivity,and entrepreneurs need to coordinate multiple resources.Fourth,the high level of the CDE is not determined by a certain pre variable.Entrepreneurs can adopt the principle of minimum loss,constantly reflect on entrepreneurial activities-plan-act,and achieve the goal of digital entrepreneurship.To sum up,enterprise digitalization is an inevitable trend,and the CDE is the key means for enterprises to achieve digitalization.In order to achieve the high level of the CDE goal,entrepreneurs should analyze existing resources,including human resources,assets,technology,management and other resources,from the entrepreneurial perspective and strategic perspective,according to the current environment of the enterprise,and seek the best entrepreneurial path through efficient and reasonable resource matching to achieve the entrepreneurial goal.
