| Subject service is a new library service mechanism that aims to meet the needs of users and takes subject as the basic unit of service.It can adapt to the dynamic changes of the information society by setting up a team of subject librarians to provide in-depth,multidimensional and personalized knowledge and information services.As an important service mode of university library,subject service plays an important role in promoting discipline construction.In the new era of discipline development,the proposal of the "double first-class" construction policy and the goal of building a high-quality education system has given university library subject services a new mission,and the new stage of the construction of smart libraries has also provided new impetus and opportunities for the deepening and expansion of the subject services of university libraries.Based on this background,after sorting out the current situation of subject service in university libraries at home and abroad,summarizing the related contents of subject services in university libraries and the theoretical basis of the research,this paper first uses literature research and interview methods to determine the indicators of subject service demand.Then,questionnaire research and qualitative and quantitative analysis methods are used to identify subject service demand based on the Kano model,and the types and priorities of subject service demand are identified.Finally,a subject service demand indicator system is established,which includes 4 major dimensions and 28 sub demand indicators.The results of Kano’s analysis are: 6 attractive requirements(A),5 onedimensional requirements(O),15 must-be requirements(M),and 2 indifference requirements(I).Subsequently,mixed class analysis and Better-Worse analysis are introduced to optimize and improve the attribute results of the original demand indicators.The Better-Worse analysis method is used to analyze the impact of each demand indicator on subject service satisfaction,further improving the demand indicator system,and the final disciplinary service demand system has been established.Taking the established subject service demand indicator system as a reference,this article takes Hubei Province as an example and selects "Double First Class" construction universities in Hubei Province as the research objects.Using methods such as network survey and literature survey,the subject service capabilities of university libraries in Hubei Province are investigated and evaluated from four aspects: subject resources,subject service platforms,subject librarians,and subject service content.Based on the survey results,the existing subject service capabilities of university libraries in Hubei Province are summarized: in terms of resource construction,the layout is not coordinated and the integration and utilization capacity is insufficient;in terms of platform construction,the functions are incomplete;in terms of librarian construction,the structure is unreasonable and the comprehensive quality is not high;in terms of service content,it is lack of specificity and has a low efficiency.Finally,based on the analysis of the subject service demand index system and the existing subject service ability of the subject service,this paper puts forward the following countermeasures for the improvement and optimization of the subject service ability of university libraries: building a solid service foundation and strengthening the construction of subject resources;improving platform functions and leveraging the advantages of service platforms;improving comprehensive quality and focusing on the cultivation of subject librarians;deepening service content and improving disciplinary service efficiency,so as to provide reference for the improvement of the subject service ability and level of university libraries. |
