With the universal reading idea becoming more and more popular,the reading situation of children,as a special group,has been paid more and more attention.Public libraries are duty-bound to promote children’s reading.The declaration of public libraries issued by the United Nations Educational,Scientific and Cultural Organization states clearly that public libraries have the mission of "developing and strengthening children’s reading habits from an early age".To this end,public libraries provide children with a variety of intimate services,carry out a variety of activities to attract young readers into the library.In the process of providing long-term service and developing activities,many public libraries have formed their own brand of children’s reading promotion.The brand effect enhances the effect of children’s reading promotion in public libraries on one hand,and establishes a good social image for public libraries on the other hand.The "double reduction" policy,introduced by the 2021 in July,has brought new opportunities for the provision of children’s services in public libraries and provided a new reference direction for the construction of children’s reading promotion brands.This paper investigates and analyzes the construction of children’s reading promotion brand in 14 public libraries at or above the city level in Fujian province by means of network investigation and literature investigation,this paper sums up the problems existing in the construction of the children’s reading promotion brand in the public libraries of Fujian province,which are as follows: the brand design is not in place,the brand activity lacks the new idea,the brand promotion dynamics is insufficient,the boundary of the brand service object is fuzzy,the service resources are scattered,the radiation scope is small and so on.In view of these problems and under the new background of "double reduction",this paper puts forward that the public libraries in Fujian province should make the brand positioning clear,make the pre-planning well,adapt to the diversified needs of children,and enrich the content of brand activities Widen the propaganda channel,strengthen the brand propaganda,refine the service group,provide the grading service,carry out the cooperation mechanism of library,school and community,integrate the service resources and so on.The public library children reading promotion brand in the construction process constantly perfect self,can break out the lasting vitality.
