Research On The Optimization Of The Main-Branch Library System Of Public Libraries

As people’s demand for cultural knowledge is increasing,the state attaches more and more importance to the construction of public cultural service system and facilities.As an important part of our rapidly developing public cultural service system,the public library is responsible for the collection and provision of all kinds of knowledge information.The proposal of the total branch library system can not only effectively promote the scope of our public cultural service,reduce the cost of service,but also can realize the maximum utilization of the special resources in the existing public cultural service,to realize the rationalization of resources has important significance.This study takes the public library of Guangdong Province as an example,starts from the construction status of the general branch library network of Guangdong Province,analyzes the spatial layout status of the general branch library network,surveys the causes of the network system layout and the construction of the existing system,and proposes the optimization strategy of the general branch library system of Guangdong Province according to the results.In addition,this thesis puts forward some countermeasures for the construction of the service network system of the main branch of the public library in Guangdong Province,and provides references for the layout,site selection and systematic construction of the general branch of the public library in the future.This study first introduces the research background and development history of public library and the main branch library system,reviews the domestic and foreign research results,defines the theoretical and practical significance of the construction of the main branch library system,and proposes to optimize the main branch library system from the external spatial layout and the internal system construction.Secondly,it introduces the concepts of the main branch library system,network layout,service equalization and so on,and uses the cluster theory and GIS theory(kernel density,buffer zone,Tyson polygon)as the theoretical basis for the study to provide theoretical support for the subsequent research.Third,the present situation of public library network system in Guangdong Province is introduced,including the service scope of public library in Guangdong Province,the development of public library in Guangdong Province and the construction of branch library network.Fourth,collect the network data of the main branch of Guangdong public library,analyze and describe the external network layout of the main branch by using Arcgis software.Fifth,select the heads of relevant institutions in the main branch library system,and investigate and analyze the causes,current situation and future development trend of the construction of the existing general branch library system in Guangdong province through interviews;Sixth,combined with the above theoretical analysis,interview survey and data analysis results on the causes of the network construction of public libraries in Guangdong Province,this thesis analyzes the principle of the optimization of the general branch library system of public libraries in Guangdong Province,and puts forward the optimization strategy and implementation countermeasures of the general branch library system of public libraries in Guangdong Province.Finally,the relevant conclusions of this study are summarized and the future research prospects are put forward.To sum up,this thesis puts forward the optimization strategies for the construction of the main branch library system of Guangdong Provincial Public libraries: That is,balanced distribution,scientific layout,unified service,joint management,integrated development and standard evaluation.At the same time,from the five aspects of strengthening policy support,clarifying its own positioning,meeting the needs of readers in specific areas,strengthening staff management and training in branches,and establishing the terminal integration mechanism,this thesis supplemented the optimization and implementation countermeasures for the construction of the general branch system of public libraries in Guangdong Province.
