The Characteristics And Construction Methods Of Central-Branch Library System

As a library system the central-branch library system that has been implementedfor long time in the foreign libraries. Almost all major foreign libraries used thecentral-branch library system.The superiority of this system has been shown in theforeign libraries. However the central-branch system was a new thing in our country.Although this system was not accepted in our country the strong vitality of thecentral-branch library system was showing us.This article attempted to make use of the survey method which investigate andresearch the development process and the status of implementation about the domesticand foreign libraries. Then the library would construct this system in a simple wayavoid the complex way. Moreover the article summed up the advantage anddisadvantage of the central-branch system. Finally the article obtained theconstruction method about this system. With the use of literature content analysismethod which collected a large number of articles in regard to the central-branchlibrary system. On the basis of analysis we grasp the focus belong to the domestic andforeign scholars. Learn from the expert’s suggestions about this system inconstruction phase and implementation phase, combination of the constructionmethods which in domestic and foreign libraries finally draw my researchachievement. I hope to master the research trends and research methods in thedomestic and foreign library domain in theory. I hope my research achievement willpromoted the central-branch library system used in the library in practice.This is my research achievement by a considerable of research:(1)By studying the background of the central-branch library system I understandthe history about this system.(2)Through the research in public libraries and university libraries at home andabroad I get the successful experience on the central-branch library systemdevelopment process.(3) Summed up the advantage and disadvantage of the central-branch system thearticle obtained the construction method about this system. I expect the method willplay an active role in the central-branch library system development.
