Reading is a key way for children to acquire knowledge,cultivate ability,develop emotion and establish values.It is the basis for children’s lifelong learning.It is of great importance to children’s personal and national future development.Graded reading is helpful to provide scientific and effective guidance for children’s reading choices.Book grading provides a specific implementation strategy for children’s difficulty in selecting books.The outline of the development of Chinese children(2011-2020)clearly proposes to establish a ladder reading system for Chinese children.However,at present,there is no authoritative classification standard in China,and there is no quantitative classification tool that can be used in children’s book publishing,school education or Library children reading services.Those make it difficult to put children’s graded reading into practice.Therefore,this study seeks to establish a multi-dimensional framework of Chinese children’s book grading and an index system of quantitative and qualitative analysis under the guidance of cognition and demand,so as to And hope this framework and index system can help children’s make personalized reading choice,expand ideas for the formulation of book grading and promoting the localization of graded reading.The main contents of this study include the following aspects:(1)Combined the relevant theories of children’s reading,children’s psychological development and graded reading.Then defined the concepts of "child-orient","children","graded reading" and "Book grading",which laid the theoretical foundation for follow-up research.(2)Designed the framework of book grading.After clarifying the principles of children’s book grading,selected the dimensions of children’s book grading in analysis of cognitive orientation and demand orientation.And defined indicators of quantitative and qualitative analysis in each dimension.Secondly,integrated the multi-dimensional indexes by the method of faceted synthetic classification.And designed the formation rules of multi-dimensional grading code for children’s book.Finally,defined three ways of children’s book grading.(3)Empirical research on recommending bibliography.Selected some recommended children’s book from primary school students’ Reading Guidance Catalogue(2020),and compiled multi-dimensional grading codes according to the framework and index system to test the feasibility of the multi-dimensional grading framework of Chinese children’s books.(4)Displayed the grading mode and effect of recommending bibliography.Depending on the grading coding and grading expression,this paper shows the grading selection modes of children’s books under different guidance,and explains the tool attributes of grading framework and grading code.This study successfully constructed a multi-dimensional grading framework and operable index system of Chinese children’s books through the research on the theories related to children’s reading,children’s psychological development and graded reading of the method of faceted synthetic classification.The framework includes text cognitive dimension,text emotional dimension and text reading function type dimension.And empirical research proved the feasibility and effectiveness of the framework.On this basis,it provided three children’s book grading selection modes under the text cognitive orientation,emotional orientation and comprehensive orientation.The innovative value of this study lies in:(1)Designed a multi-dimensional hierarchical framework of children’s book which taking into account the needs of children’s cognitive and emotional development.The framework highlights the balanced role of reading in the development of children’s emotional and intellectual ability.It provides a reference for the localization development of graded reading(2)At the method level,it integrates a variety of methods from different disciplines,such as faceted synthetic classification,emotional analysis and so on.Through the operable calculation index system.Improved the domestic grading method which based on subjective judgment.And this study provided the differentiated grading selection mode to face children’s unique needs,and help children establish their own personalized grading book list.The conceptual framework of this study is still rough and needs further optimization design.In terms of verification,it also needs more children’s book data to assist.These will be the focus of future research work.
