With the growing prosperity of the children's book publishing industry in China,the types and quantity of children's books in the market are gradually increasing.Many parents are faced with the problem of choosing books among a variety of children's books.How to find the books suitable for children's current reading situation is a topic worth studying.But at present,children's books in the book market are numerous and complex,and the reading resources are very rich,which makes it difficult to choose books.In this case,graded reading can shoulder the heavy responsibility to alleviate the contradictions faced by the current children's book market.The concept of graded reading can guide the publication of children's books and publish suitable books according to the market demand.It can also solve the difficulty of educators in purchasing books and provide parents with feasible guidance and suggestions for buying books.The most important function of graded reading is to gradually improve children's reading ability,cultivate their interest in reading and exercise their thinking ability.In developed countries such as Britain and the United States,the concept of graded reading has been popularized,and a number of graded reading books with international influence have also stepped onto the world stage of children's books.However,in China,the research on graded reading has just emerged,and there is still a lot of room for development and improvement.Relevant research and development institutions in China have made some attempts to develop graded reading,and some achievements have been made,but there is still a long way to go before a mature grading system is formed.The publishing industry is most closely connected with graded reading.The development and popularization of graded reading can guide publishing institutions to carry out fruitful publishing work.Publishing graded reading books that can go to the world will provide a steady stream of living water for publishing institutions and provide inexhaustible driving force for their operation.This paper is an applied research on the publishing field of children's books based on the standards of graded reading in China.It is divided into five chapters,focusing on the applied research of graded reading:The first chapter is the introduction,which is composed of three main parts:research origin,literature review,research purpose and method.The research origin includes research background and research significance.The second chapter is the definition and theoretical basis of related concepts,which defines the concepts of children,graded reading,graded reading and bridge books,analyzes and studies children's psychology and related concepts of children's reading,and sorts out the overall development of graded reading at home and abroad.The third chapter is the analysis and comparison of Chinese gradational reading standards and British and American gradational reading standards.Firstly,the whole history of the development of graded reading standards in China is summarized.From the first graded reading standards issued in 2009 to the first graded reading academic standards issued in 2019,the characteristics,advantages and disadvantages of each academic standard are analyzed.Then it analyzes the main reading grading methods in Britain and America,and finally compares them with the grading standards in China to analyze their characteristics and the need for improvement.The fourth chapter analyzes the application and implementation of the "lauding-reading" standard,and analyzes the content compilation,promotion and publicity of the series of "Ai Yue Read,Bridge Book--Xiao Doubao" published under the guidance of the standard.The seven dimensions of the "lauding-reading" standard are reflected in this series of books.This paper analyzes the concrete embodiment of this standard in the series of "Love Yue Read,Bridge Book--Xiao Doubao" from different dimensions,and the characteristics and advantages of this series of books under the guidance of "Loading" reading standard.The fifth chapter is the enlightenment to the research and application of Chinese children's graded reading standards,including the enlightenment to the research of graded reading standards and the enlightenment to the application of the standards.They include abandoning the thinking of copying western classification standards,grasping the characteristics of Chinese language and application,compiling content based on multiple dimensions of Chinese words and chapters,integrating the awareness of classification into the publishing of children's books,publishing them into systematic graded books for children,and paying attention to the implementation of reading education.This is a discussion on how to apply the standard of graded reading for children in China in the future,which is expected to give some enlightenment to the development of graded reading for children in China.
