In his important discussion on education and health,General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed that health education in the new era should be given a more prominent position to improve students’ health literacy and lay a foundation for their healthy growth and lifelong development.The "Health China 2030" plan also points out that health education should be incorporated into the national education system as an important part of quality education at all educational levels,with a focus on primary and secondary education.From this,we can see that in order to do a good job in "infectious diseases and prevention and control",it must be implemented in all levels of school education.Biology Curriculum Standards for Ordinary Senior High Schools(2017 Edition,revised in 2020)(hereinafter referred to as Curriculum Standards)stipulates 3 elective modules,which are respectively real life application,career planning and prospects,and academic development foundation."Infectious Disease and Prevention and Control" is a sub-module of "real life application".However,how to organize the contents of "infectious diseases and prevention and control" and how to integrate the resources is a perplexing problem for senior high school biology teachers,and also the difficulty for senior high school biology teachers to carry out the education of "infectious diseases and prevention and control".Therefore,this study provides reference for front-line teachers to carry out education on "infectious diseases and prevention and control" by developing course resources and case studies in the module of "infectious diseases and prevention and control".This study takes the knowledge of "infectious diseases and prevention and control" as the main line,takes the suggestions on the module of "Infectious diseases and Prevention and control" in the Curriculum Standard as the basis,and aims at cultivating students’ core literacy of biology subject,to develop the module resource package of "Infectious diseases and Prevention and control".First of all,467 senior high school students in Jinzhong city were investigated on the learning status and learning needs of infectious disease and prevention knowledge by questionnaire survey.Secondly,according to the national policy,social background,teachers’ advice and students’ needs,the goal of this resource package is determined as follows: Through the learning of this resource package,students can tell the basic knowledge of infectious diseases,master and apply corresponding prevention measures,do a good job in personal daily protection during the epidemic,and establish the concept of "equal emphasis on prevention and control".Able to use scientific thinking such as induction and generalization,critical thinking and creative thinking to think and discuss issues related to infectious diseases and prevention and control;Master basic scientific research methods and ideas,improve the ability to analyze and solve problems;At the same time,in the process of learning to form good living habits and healthy lifestyle,and take the initiative to promote to others,improve the responsibility of caring for others,serve the society,identify with the concept of "global village" and "human community with a shared future",strengthen patriotic attention to emotion.Resources based on the above goal,through the consult literature books,search the Internet resources,the advisory expert teachers,collection,refining and the content of the prevention and control of infectious diseases and comb,Finally,three modules were developed: "Knowing Infectious Diseases","Viral Infectious Diseases" and "Bacterial Infectious Diseases";"Love in the Heart,’epidemic’ Moving Forward-Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia","Voice for ’Ai’ in the Name of Love-AIDS","Respiring Together,Common Destiny-Tuberculosis" and other 14 sections of the curriculum resources package,In addition,teaching design cases and suggestions on the development form are provided for each section.Then,four typical cases of different development forms in the resource package were selected and implemented in a middle school in Jinzhong City.After implementation,the developed curriculum resources were evaluated in the form of teacher evaluation scale and student interview.The teacher evaluation scale reviews the resource package from four aspects:whether the target is standard,whether the content is scientific,whether the implementation is reasonable and whether the evaluation is effective.According to the statistics of the scale,the average score of the resource package of "Infectious Disease and Prevention and Control" module is 86.5 points(out of 100 points),which shows that the resource package is feasible to a certain extent.Interviews with students revealed that students are aware of the serious harm caused by infectious diseases to human society and believe that learning about infectious diseases and prevention and control is very meaningful.This resource kit can help them learn about infectious diseases scientifically and systematically,take correct preventive and control measures during epidemics,reduce their fear of infectious diseases,and deal with infectious diseases with a positive attitude.To sum up,the resource package of "Infectious diseases and Prevention and Control" module can be applied to middle schools and implemented in middle schools,so as to improve students’ health literacy. |
