With the deepening of education and teaching reform,school-based curriculum has been paid more and more attention by the state and local governments.“The curriculum standard of biology for senior high school(2017 Edition)” clearly points out that school-based curriculum with local and school characteristics should be developed.At the same time,in recent years,the epidemic situation of infectious diseases is becoming more and more serious.The outbreak of infectious diseases has greatly affected the health and safety of human life and the order of the whole society.It is imperative to educate students about infectious diseases.It can not only help students form correct life and health concepts,but also help students form a sense of social responsibility.Based on the basic concept of the new curriculum standard,curriculum objectives and suggestions for the opening of elective modules in senior high school,taking “infectious diseases and prevention” as the theme,combined with the school characteristics and students' needs of Guangzhou Dongchong middle school,this study attempts to develop high school-based textbooks with regional or school characteristics,so as to facilitate the education of infectious diseases and prevention knowledge for students and the cultivation of biological core literacy.First of all,the internal and external environment of Guangzhou Dongchong middle school is analyzed,and the questionnaire survey method is used to analyze the learning needs of the first and second year students of Dongchong middle school,as well as the first and second year students of colleges and universities,and to investigate the awareness rate of infectious disease knowledge.Secondly,according to the suggestions of the elective module and the actual needs of schools and students,the design of curriculum objectives and the organization of teaching materials are carried out.Finally,the chapters of the school-based teaching materials are divided into 3 chapters,15 sections and 6 activities.Then,the experimental class is set up in the way of students' self registration,and the school-based teaching materials are implemented in the experimental class in a diversified way.At last,the paper evaluates the compilation and implementation of school-based teaching materials with multi angle evaluation method,tests the development of students' knowledge and ability according to the evaluation results,judges the actual effect of compilation andimplementation of school-based teaching materials,and summarizes and reflects on it.The final results show that: the students in the experimental class have a deeper understanding of the knowledge of infectious diseases through the learning of school-based teaching materials of “infectious diseases and prevention”,meeting the requirements of curriculum objectives based on the new curriculum standard,and the core quality of the subject of biology has also been improved,and their average score of academic test has increased by 13.45 points;in the process of learning,the students have gradually formed a good learning habits,abilities of cooperative discussion and scientific exploration have been improved;the concept of “equal emphasis on prevention” has been formed;the students' interest in biology courses has been improved,and the students' ability to solve practical problems in life by applying biological principles has been strengthened;the students' awareness of self-health protection has been greatly improved.In the course return visit,students showed that after finishing the textbook,they did personal epidemic prevention work during the novel coronavirus pneumonia(NCP)epidemic,and publicized the harmfulness of the NCP to their parents or people around them,taught them how to cope with the NCP,which ensured the safety of their own and the surrounding people,and satisfied with their actions.In addition,in the process of development and practice,teachers' professional ability has been developed,and they have a further understanding of education and teaching,and improve the ability of curriculum preparation and organization.
