Under the circumstance that the health problems of teenagers are increasing and the model of physical education and psychological class adopted in China cannot fully solve the health problems are facing,it is very necessary to construct the health education courses and even the curriculum system in schools.At present,the school health education curriculum construction and implementation of the present situation is not ideal,the construction of health curriculum system is limited by the immobilization of the whole curriculum structure.With the help of the 5E teaching model that helps students build concepts and develop their inquiry ability,break the original single teaching model,based on the school-based curriculum development,this study aims to answer the following two research questions from the perspective of students' health education related to infectious diseases :(1)How to build a school-based curriculum related to the prevention and control of infectious diseases in high schools based on the 5E teaching model?(2)how to evaluate the effectiveness and applicability of the course?In order to solve the above problems,this study first review relevant literature,the analysis of current school health education in our country as curriculum requirements analysis.And determine the design philosophy,the general objective,the core concepts and key concepts of the Struggle of Human and Infectious Diseases,on the basis of constructing curriculum framework,detailed course section target and content.Formed the materials of the Struggle of Human and Infectious Diseases based on 5E model to guide the teaching activities,completed the design of the school-based course.After that,this study chose the high school elective courses of a high school of Shanghai as the form of teaching practice.The effectiveness of the course was evaluated through the changes of the students in knowledge,behavior and attitude related to the prevention of infectious diseases and the works before and after the course.The applicability of the course to high school students in China wasanalyzed through the evaluation questionnaire of students on the course and the semi-structured interview of students.The results showed that after receiving course,the knowledge,behavior and attitude of prevention of infectious diseases had changed significantly among the 14 students.All the students who participated in the course said that the course content was of moderate difficulty,the classroom activity forms were rich,and the course had a positive impact on their attitude and behavior to prevent the infectious diseases.The results show that :(1)This course is very effective for health education related to the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases of high school students,the experimental group students showed significant differences in the scores of infectious disease knowledge and behaviors and attitudes before and after;(2)this course is suitable for high school classes in China.The content of thie course is attractive to high school students and the difficulty is suitable.At the same time,students express that they like a variety of classroom activities very much.According to the results of this study,it is suggested to introduce this course into the curriculum system of school health education.At the same time,in the development of health school-based curriculum,we should pay attention to the systemic content of curriculum,the immediacy of curriculum cases and the rationality of curriculum activity design.When the teacher implements the course of the Struggle of Human and Infectious Diseases,it is recommended to pay attention to controlling the number of students and their dominant position in the classroom,and adjusting the arrangement of teaching flexibly according to the actual situation in teaching practice.
