Since 2020,due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic,online Chinese teaching has rapidly developed globally.During the author’s graduate internship,many Chinese international education master’s students who were at the stage of practicing teaching Chinese as a foreign language showed primarily negative emotions such as anxiety,which affected their teaching to varying degrees.As a reserve force in the promotion of Chinese language,Chinese international education majors’ psychological status,teaching methods,and knowledge reserves are crucial to their future career development and the promotion of Chinese language.Taking these factors into consideration,the author explored the anxiety phenomenon in the teaching psychology of some master’s students with teaching experience in 2020,2021,and 2022 from three aspects: firstly,do Chinese international education master’s students have teaching anxiety,and to what degree? Secondly,what factors may cause them to experience teaching anxiety? Finally,in the actual teaching process,what methods can help the Chinese international education master’s students alleviate their anxiety?This article focuses on 222 Chinese international education master’s students who are currently conducting online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.The study used the Chinese International Education Master’s Online Teaching Anxiety Scale and State Anxiety Questionnaire for investigation,and conducted in-depth interviews with four Chinese international education master’s students using a semi-structured interview outline.The results showed that teaching anxiety was prevalent among Chinese international education master’s students during their online teaching internship,and the average and high anxiety level.In the interviews,the author extracted and summarized the contents of interviews with four Chinese Master’s students who are currently undergoing online teaching internships from three aspects: personal teaching experience,types of anxiety,and strategies to alleviate anxiety,and supplemented the results of data analysis.The causes of anxiety in online teaching internships for Master’s students in Chinese international education mainly come from three aspects: changes in teaching mode,factors related to Chinese international education itself,and factors related to students.Based on this,this article proposes several suggestions to alleviate anxiety in online teaching internships for Master’s students in Chinese international education.First of all,suggestions for master of International Chinese language education,improve the ability to use information technology,do enough teaching preparation,pay attention to their own psychological construction,strengthen cooperation and communication;Secondly,the relevant suggestions on the training of schools,strengthen the online Chinese teaching research,carry out regular lectures and training,and improve more practical opportunities;Finally,suggestions for the organization,develop a complete online teaching practice platform,provide professional psychological counseling services,and implement a comprehensive internship records. |
