| Influenced by objective factors,some graduate students majoring in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages choose to be teaching assistants as the way of their teaching practice.CCN Online Teaching Assistant Program aims to offers a campus atmosphere and learning environment for CCN international preparatory students.graduate teaching assistants can help the development of teaching-related work efficiently.Based on the twice experience of working as a teaching assistant,that is,as a teaching assistant for CCN preparatory students in Education Company S and as a course assistant for foreign students in a university in Xi ’an,this study investigates the related work of graduate students majoring in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages as teaching assistants in combination with the problems found in practice.This study mainly adopts the methods of interview and questionnaire survey,collects relevant data with the help of Wenjuanxing.(platform providing functions equivalent to Amazon Mechanical Turk)and Question Net,and sorts out the interview content through telephone interview and voice-to-text conversion.Firstly,the background and concepts related to teaching assistants were reviewed;Secondly,the article summarize the overall design of the questionnaire and interview questions involved in this paper,including the reasons for the investigation and the implementation process of the investigation.Then,the specific situation of graduate students majoring in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages participating in teaching assistant work is sorted out;Through the comprehensive analysis of the survey results,this paper summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of graduate students in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages as teaching assistants.Finally,combined with the graduate assistant system and other disciplines’ experience,this paper gives some suggestions for teaching assistants from three aspects: graduate assistant,graduate assistant management and talent cultivation of Chinese international education. |
