| Objective:This study converted the Career Success in Nursing Scale(CSNS)into Chinese and formed the Chinese version of Career Success in Nursing Scale(C-CSNS).To test the reliability and validity of C-CSNS and apply C-CSNS to evaluate the career success level of Chinese nurses. Methods:This study is divided into three parts.(1)Sinicization of the scale:After obtaining the Chinese authorization of the author of the original scale and the English version of the original scale,we used the Brislin translation model to perform language translation of the original scale to form C-CSNS I.Six clinical nursing experts were invited to conduct cross-cultural debugging on the translated version using the Delphi method to form C-CSNSⅡ.A sample of 30 nurses was selected to fill in C-CSNSⅡfor pre-experiment.(2)Evaluation of the scale:Convenience sampling method was used to select 650 samples of nurses who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria from 22 hospitals in 5 cities in various regions of China to conduct item analysis and reliability and validity test of C-CSNSⅡ.Item analysis uses item distribution method, critical ratio method and correlation coefficient method;validity analysis uses content validity, construct validity and criterion-related validity for evaluation;reliability analysis uses internal consistency reliability,half-way reliability and The test-retest reliability was evaluated.(3)Preliminary application of the scale:The general information questionnaire designed by the researchers and C-CSNS were used to conduct a questionnaire survey on 348 nurse samples, and the mean and standard deviation were used to describe the career success level of Chinese nurses. The pre-experimental results show that C-CSNS has clear semantics and smooth expression without modification.Results:(1)After two rounds of expert consultation,a total of 12 items were revised and 4 items were deleted, leaving 35 items remaining. The recovery rate and effective rate of the two rounds of expert consultation questionnaires are both 100%,with a high positive degree. The individual authority coefficient of experts is between0.80 and 1.00,and the average authority coefficient of experts as a whole is 0.89,which has a high authority.Experts rated the importance of each item at 4 or 5,and their opinions were relatively concentrated. The coefficient of variation of item scores of the questionnaire was 0.00-0.11,the coordination coefficient was 0.255,and the p values were all<0.05,indicating that the opinions were more coordinated.(2)The item analysis results show that the item selection rate of the scale is less than 80%,the critical ratio of the items is greater than 3,and the correlation coefficient between the item score and the total scale score is greater than 0.4,indicating that the Chinese version of nurses has a successful career Each item of the scale has good distinguishability and representativeness. After exploratory factor analysis,a total of 2items were deleted due to cross loading, and a total of 5 common factors with eigenvalues greater than 1 were extracted from the remaining 33 items, which accounted for 63.73%of the total variance.Confirmatory factor analysis showed thatχ~2=820.904,χ~2/df=1.769,RMSEA=0.05,SRMR=0.05,GFI=0.88,CFI=0.94,IFI=0.94,TLI=0.93,and the construct validity was acceptable. The scale’s content validity index I-CVI ranges from 0.83 to 1.00,S-CVI/UA is 0.94,and S-CVI/Ave is0.99,indicating that the scale has good content validity. The score of C-CSNS was positively correlated with the score of career success scale(r=0.650,p<0.01),which indicated that the scale had a good calibration correlation. After the reliability test, the Cronbach’sαof the scale is 0.960,the half-reliability is 0.893,and the test-retest reliability ICC within two weeks is 0.981,which has good reliability.(3)The total score of nurses’career success is 145.63±10.99,and the average score of the items is4.41±0.33,which is at a relatively high level. Conclusion:The C-CSNS has acceptable reliability and validity, and can be used to assess the career success level of Chinese nurses.Nurses surveyed in this study had high overall levels of career success. |
