Research On The Current Situation And Influencing Factors Of Career Success Of Ophthalmic Nurse

ObjectivesTo describe the career success of ophthalmic nurse and explore the influencing factors of career success of ophthalmic nurse.Methods(1)This study was a cross-sectional descriptive study.The subjects of the study were ophthalmic nurses in 5 grade III level A hospitals selected in Guangdong province by convenient sampling method.Among the 350 ophthalmic nurses who met the inclusion criteria,using general information questionnaire,career success scale and career resilience scale for investigation.During the research period,a total of 350 questionnaires were issued and 350 were recovered,of which 336 were valid,with an effective recovery rate of 96.00%.(2)The statistical analysis using SPSS17.0 software.Frequency and percentage were used for statistical analysis of counting data.The mean and standard deviation were used to analyze the measurement data.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation of continuous variables.Two independent samples t test or analysis of variance were used for single factor analysis.Multivariate linear regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors.Results(1)The results of descriptive research on career success of ophthalmic nurses:The total score of career success of ophthalmic nurses is(36.43�9.01).The average of each dimension from high to low is career satisfaction(17.28�4.29),competitiveness outside the organization(9.68�2.83),and competitiveness inside the organization(9.48�2.91).(2)The results of descriptive research on career resilience of ophthalmic nurses:The total score of career resilience of ophthalmic nurses is(93.04�21.36).The average of each factor from high to low is willingness to learn(22.52�5.27),sense of cooperation(15.19�3.70),self-efficacy(14.96�3.77),adaptability(14.73�3.63),long-term orientation(14.51�3.61),career enthusiasm(11.15�2.99).(3)Correlation analysis results of career success and career resilience of ophthalmic nurses show that: the total score of career success and the scores of each dimension of ophthalmic nurses are positive correlated with the total score of career resilience and the scores of each factor(P<0.05).(4)Single factor analysis of career success of ophthalmic nurses: there is statistical significance between career success of ophthalmic nurses and administrative positions?whether or not they have received counselling in career planning while studying in school or working in ophthalmology(P<0.05).There is a negative correlation between age and career success of ophthalmic nurses(r =-0.159,P= 0.003).(5)The results of multi-factor analysis of career success of ophthalmic nurses:the factors which affect the career success of ophthalmic nurses has eight variables into the regression equation.Whether or not they have received counselling in career planning while studying in school or working in ophthalmology,sense of cooperation,adaptability,self-efficacy,long-term orientation,career enthusiasm,and willingness to learn,which explained the square difference of career success of ophthalmic nurses of 58.2%.Standardized partial regression coefficient shows that long-term orientation of career resilience has the greatest effect on career success of the ophthalmic nurses(?=0.459).Conclusions(1)The sense of career success of ophthalmic nurses is above the middle level.(2)Administrative position,career planning counseling received in school or during ophthalmology work,and career resilience are important factors affecting the career success of ophthalmology nurses.
