ObjectiveTo investigate the current situation of nurses’ work environment perception and career success;Analyzing the correlation between nurses’ work environment perception, career resilience, innovative behavior and career success; To discuss the influencing factors of nurses’ work environment perception, career resilience, innovative behavior and career success; To verify the chain mediating role of nurses’ career resilience and innovative behaviors between perceived work environment and professional success, and to provide a basis for improving nurses’ professional success.MethodsThis study used a cross-sectional survey method to facilitate the sampling of 458 nurses from Beipiao Central Hospital in Liaoning Province from December 2021 to December 2022 as the study population. The Perception of Work Environment Scale,Career Resilience Scale,Innovative Behavior Scale, and Career Success Scale were used to investigate them.Data analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0 statistical software and AMOS 23.0.Results1.The mean scores of nurses’ work environment perception, career resilience, innovative behavior, and career success were(80.46±12.67),(74.17±16.75),(50.88±19.19),and(32.90±8.76),respectively.2.Nurses’ perception of work environment has statistical significance in terms of age, education level, and professional title(P<0.05);nurses’ career resilience was statistically significant in terms of age, title, and the presence of scientific achievements(P<0.05);nurses’ innovative behavior was statistically significant in terms of education level, title and the number of academic conferences attended(P<0.05);career success was statistically significant in terms of age,The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05)in terms of age, education level, marital status, job title, employment mode, presence of scientific achievements and number of academic conferences attended.3.Pearson correlation analysis showed that work environment perceptions were significantly and positively correlated with career resilience, innovative behavior and career success(P<0.01),career resilience was significantly and positively correlated with innovative behavior and career success(P<0.01),and innovative behavior and career success were significantly and positively correlated(P<0.01).4.The results of stratified regression analysis showed that work enviro nment perception, career resilience, and innovative behavior were all predi ctive of career success(work environment perception: β=0.454,t=10.664,P<0.001;career resilience: β=0.488,t=12.724,P<0.001;innovative behavio r: β=0.324,t=8.320,P<0.001);work environment perception and career re silience were both predictive of innovative behavior(work environment per ception: β=0.407,t=9.618,P<0.001;career resilience: β=0.315,t=7.305,P<0.001);work environment perception was predictive of career resilience(β=0.360,t=8.268,P<0.001).5.The results of the mediating effect test showed that the direct effect of work environment on perception of career success was 0.23;the mediating effect of career resilience between perception of work environment and perception of career success was 0.27,accounting for 44.26% of the total effect(0.19/0.37);the mediating effect of innovative behavior between perception of work environment and perception of career success was 0.05,accounting for8.20% of the total effect(0.02/0.09);the chain mediating effect of career resilience and innovative behavior between perception of work environment and perception of career success was 0.06,accounting for 9.84% of the total effect(0.03/0.10).Conclusions1.The level of nurses’ work environment perception and career success was low.2.The main influencing factors of nurses’ work environment perception are age, education level and title;the main influencing factors of nurses’ career resilience are age, title and the presence of scientific research achievements;the main influencing factors of nurses’ innovative behavior are education level, title and the number of academic conferences attended;the main influencing factors of nurses’ sense of career success are age, education level, title, marital status, employment The main influencing factors of nurses’ career success are age, education level, title, marital status, employment mode, availability of scientific achievements and number of academic conferences.3.There is a positive correlation between nurses’ perception of work environment, career resilience, innovative behavior and career success. In other words, the higher the perception of nurses’ work environment, the stronger the career resilience, which stimulates their innovative behaviors and helps to promote nurses’ sense of career success.4.Nurses’ work environment perception has a positive predictive effect on career resilience, innovative behavior and sense of career success, career resilience has a positive predictive effect on innovative behavior and sense of career success, and innovative behavior has a predictive effect on sense of career success.5.Nurses’ work environment perception can directly influence the sense of career success, and can also indirectly predict the sense of career success through career resilience or innovative behavior, and can also influence the sense of career success through the chain mediating effect of career resilience and innovative behavior.
