Abstract/Summary:
Amidst the large-scale urbanization trend, people have gradually enclosed themselves within the concrete jungle, causing contemporary children to become increasingly disconnected from nature during their growing process. In response to this situation, the concept of nature education, which aims to promote a harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, has brought about new ideas.By following this concept, designers can use landscape design to create a more friendly and relaxed space for children to grow in,helping them better adapt to today’s complex and ever-changing social environment.Children’s theme park landscapes,as a "bridge" for children to connect with nature, have embedded the concept of nature education into its core of "entertainment".This not only relieves the common phenomenon of nature deficiency among contemporary children but also plays a positive guiding role in the comprehensive development of children’s qualities and ecological awareness. With the deepening of development concepts such as ecological civilization, studying children’s theme park landscapes from the perspective of nature education has strong practical guidance significance. This study combines the design practice of Yak Park in Shangri-La,Yunnan Province,to explore the application of nature education in children’s theme park landscapes.By integrating education with entertainment, children can fully enjoy the fun of nature in the park, build natural literacy, and develop a sense of ecological protection. This has important value for promoting the integration and development of children’s theme park landscapes and nature education. This article is divided into five parts.Chapter One starts from the direction of environmental art design, introducing the research background, clarifying the research purpose, significance, content and methods, briefly describing domestic and foreign research status, and the research framework. In Chapter Two,theoretical research is conducted on "nature education" and "children’s theme parks," summarizing and organizing corresponding design elements.Meanwhile, using theories such as children’s cognitive development characteristics, landscape ecology, and circuit structure to define the target audience, landscape elements, and spatial structures. In Chapter Three, with reference to several outstanding designs of natural education children’s parks at home and abroad,a methodology was summarized.By using goals, design principles, design strategies, and performance techniques as the framework, design methods for the amusement space structure, natural landscape elements, and natural education experience of children’s theme parks were provided from the perspective of nature education. Finally, suitable expression methods were analyzed from three aspects: natural themes, narrative paths, and progressive popular science.Chapter Four applies the methodology to the author’s design project in Lira Wetland Park in Shangri-La,Yunnan Province, during postgraduate studies. These sections form a progressive research system covering multiple stages such as theoretical analysis, case summary, methodology integration, and practical application. The article discusses the corresponding design application method and practical effect. In Chapter Five, the article is summarized and concluded, presenting the main conclusions and suggestions of this study.Meanwhile,it reflects on the shortcomings of the research and provides prospects for future development directions.
