| Since entering the new era,there has been a major change: the principal contradiction facing Chinese society has changed into one between unbalanced and inadequate development and the people’s ever-growing needs for a better life.Greater demands have been placed on material life and economic development.The transformation of the main contradiction points out the future direction of for regional development,that is,to link the people’s demands for a better life with economic development,and to solve the unbalanced and insufficient economic development as well as ensuring the people’s new demands for life.As an important industrial and agricultural base in our country,these three northeastern provinces play an important strategic role in maintenance of national defense security,food security,ecological security,energy security,and industrial security.From the perspective of resource and environmental carrying capacity,this paper studies the coupling and coordination relationship between resource and environment carrying capacity and regional economic development,which meets the requirements of the main social contradiction in our country and has strong theoretical and practical significance in the study area.Based on the analysis of the research status of resources and environmental carrying capacity and regional economic development,the three Northeast provinces,which are the objects of the current national key strategy "Revitalization of Northeast Old Industrial Bases",are taken as the empirical research objects.The research starts from three sub-directions.The first is to calculate the ecological footprint and ecological carrying capacity of the three northeastern provinces according to the main research method used in ecological research-the ecological footprint method.Further analysis finds that Jilin Province,Liaoning Province and Heilongjiang Province are all in the ecological deficit situation,that is,the current resources and environment can’t support the local economic development and people’s consumption life.Secondly,the entropy weight-TOPSIS model is established,in order to compare and analyze the regional resource and environmental carrying capacity of the three provinces and the two subsystems(economy and resource environment).The results show that Jilin province has the highest level of regional resources and environment carrying capacity,followed by Heilongjiang province and Liaoning Province,and the economic carrying capacity only affects the value of regional resources and environment carrying capacity,while the resources and environment directly affect its development trend.Finally,the coupling coordination degree analysis model is used to study the coordination relationship between resource and environment carrying capacity and economic development in Jilin province,Liaoning Province and Heilongjiang Province.It is found that the coordination relationship of the three provinces is developing steadily but the economic level is relatively backward.In this study,it is found that northeast China is deficient in resources and environment carrying capacity and economic development,and some suggestions are put forward. |
