Research On The Transformation Path Of Public Library Reading Service For 2035

According to the 14 th Five-Year Plan of the People's Republic of China for National Economic and Social Development and the Outline of the Long-term Goals for 2035(the Outline),one of China's long-term development goals by 2035 is to build a modern education system that serves lifelong learning for all.The long-term goal of 2035 includes building China into a country with strong culture and talented people,improving the quality of its people,improving social civilization and enhancing the country's cultural soft power,and emphasizing the overall goal of promoting cultural modernization for all.After the outline was put forward,public libraries shouldered the important mission of improving public literacy.They should not only consider the planning of the next five or ten years,but also explore the distant task of the next 15 years.Combined with policy guidance,public libraries should optimize the collection of literature resources,innovate the way of reading service,vigorously promote the development of reading promotion activities and constantly innovate the form of service,so as to make all-round efforts to improve the quality of reading service.This study first expounds the definition of public libraries,basic concepts and coverage of reading services and reading promotion,analyzes the theoretical basis for public libraries to carry out the transformation of reading services towards 2035 driven by the development of The Times,and expounds the necessity and significance of the transformation task.Secondly,by conducting online research on the official websites,Wechat official accounts and Weibo of31 public libraries in China,the achievements of reading services and the areas to be improved are summarized.Based on the successful cases of domestic public library reading service innovation,this thesis analyzes the new ideas of value-added reading service,the new methods of activity innovation,and the introduction strategy and application effect of new information technology,and points out that the existing reading service needs to be improved.Then,through SWOT-PEST method,the internal advantages of reading service transformation are summarized as rich reading resources and high enthusiasm of libraries to participate in the intelligent transformation;Its disadvantages are insufficient supply of service funds and backward feedback of reading service.External opportunities include policy guidance and guidance,increasing social needs and changing smart reading products;External threats include fierce competition in the industry,obstacles caused by COVID-19,and higher requirements for comprehensive literacy of librarians.Combined with the analysis results,the transformation path of reading service is designed,and the national development task is taken as the goal orientation of reading service.Smart technology as an important starting point for the transformation of reading services;Finally,based on the transformation path and referring to the relevant theories of reading service,this thesis proposes strategies for public libraries to realize the transformation of high-quality reading service towards 2035.
