Radar countermeasure is a severe struggle in the electromagnetic spectrum domain.The development of radar jamming and anti-jamming technology changes one after an-other,and it has never stopped even in peacetime.With the adoption of new waveform,agile frequency,agile waveform,leading-edge tracking and other technologies,the recog-nition ability of modern radar to false targets has been significantly improved,which poses a challenge to radar target simulation technology.On the other hand,in the development process of radar system,due to the constraints of cost,cycle and other conditions,it is difficult for R ? D engineers to easily obtain the opportunity to test radar in actual combat scenes.Active radar target simulation technology provides an integrated and low-cost so-lution.This technology enables developers to obtain more and more complex and realistic radar simulation environment,so as to design,optimize and evaluate their radar products closer to the field.Based on the above facts,researchers propose and continuously study digital radio frequency memory(DRFM)technology.This technology has incomparable advantages in radar target simulation and has broad application prospects in the field of radar countermeasure and test.After continuous research and development,DRFM technology has entered the third generation R ? D cycle.Compared to the previous two generation technologies,the third generation DRFM architecture not only focuses on the speed and distance of the simulated targets,but also proposes to modulate the Radar Cross Section(RCS)information in the echoes to further enhance the deception and fidelity of the simulated targets.In addition,based on the improvement of hardware level,the technical characteristics of intelligence,broadband and real-time response still need to be studied and improved.Based on the latest development of DRFM technology,this paper studies the simula-tion technology and evaluation method of radar flying target.The specific research con-tents include: theoretical analysis of radar target simulation technology based on DRFM,high imitation false target modeling of radar target simulator,and system test and analysis of radar target simulator.The key technologies used in the research process include: Aim-ing at the in band attenuation problem in the RCS characteristic simulation of the third gen-eration DRFM technology,a method of compensation by phase interpolation technology is proposed,and good results are obtained through testing? Aiming at the problem of mir-ror frequency in low-speed target simulation,a two-stage frequency conversion structure optimization is proposed,and a FIFO delay accuracy improvement scheme is proposed for distance simulation.The radar flight target simulator studied in this paper realizes echo signal forwarding with an instantaneous bandwidth of 400 MHz within 4GHz bandwidth and a sampling rate of 1.2GHz.The delay resolution is as high as 375 ns.At the same time,it has the effect of target RCS simulation with a resolution of 0.5d BSm.The radar flight target simulation technology studied in this paper has advantages in coherence,customized simulation target and high fidelity.Using this technology,a small low-power radar target simulation device suitable for unmanned flight platform is developed,and the experiment and evaluation are carried out.The experimental results show that the device can be used for the index verification and detection test of air search warning radar,and speed up the research and development progress of radar.
