At present, training simulator which can be used in radar system research and trainingoperation is the trend of radar equipment development. The design of radar simulationsystem in this paper is the part of the hovercraft training simulator, Not only can be used insailing teaching and mariner training, but also further application in the radar system analysis,signal processing and all kinds of radar data processing theory study.First of all, the mathematical model of radar target and operating environment ispresented. According to principle of radar target, video signal mathematical model is deduced,which includes main parameters of radar video signal, and establish the parameters modelrespectively. The model of radar target is composed of the campaign, distance, the directionand echo amplitude, establish the target and the hovercraft sports modeling, and to get thecampaign, distance and direction three elements, echo amplitude is decided by the radarcross-section area. Environment model mainly includes the sea clutter, rain-clutter, thermalnoise. This paper mainly derived and set up the relevant Rayleigh distribution, Log-Normaldistribution, Weibull distribution and K distribution to simulate different sea clutter, therain-clutter and internal noise are simulated by the related and non-related Rayleighdistribution model. In addition, The radar signal processing and data processing has also beenpreliminary discussed, mimicking the function of the radar system, mainly uses the noiseconstant false-alarm processing and clutter constant false-alarm processing to achieve thepurpose of constant false-alarm, and adopt kalman filtering based on the fuzzy adaptive tocomplete the radar target tracking.According to the established mathematical model, design the radar simulation systemstructure and realized in VC++6.0interface combined with the GDI+technology, andsimulation the above algorithms, produce the radar echo signal and dynamic simulationgeneration radar video images. Radar simulation system uses modular distributed designmethod, divided into the trainer and user machine two parts, through the TCP/IP protocolcomplete communications, and can set the software according to training needs to completethe functions. After solve the coordinate transformation, rays show and other key issues, thesimulation of the radar raster interface can be produced and display the target echo, sea clutter,rain-clutter, internal noise, and target ship can show on the static electronic chart, in addition,may through the man-machine interface to complete radar control operation.
