A Textual Study Of Poverty Alleviation Reports From The Perspective Of Media Memory

On February 25,2021,General Secretary Xi Jinping announced a comprehensive victory in the country's fight against poverty.Then how does the news media promote the national strategy,thus condensing the joint force of social development? Based on text research,this paper selects Guizhou Daily,a provincial media and People's Daily,the most authoritative and influential central media in Guizhou,as the main battleground of poverty alleviation,to make an analysis from the perspective of media memory.From the perspective of memory practice,this paper discusses how the poverty alleviation report shapes the audience's memory about poverty and poverty alleviation,and what role the media plays in this process.It also has certain reference value for the communication and memory of similar national strategies in the future.For example,experience in rural revitalization,prevention of return to poverty and new poverty issues is summarized.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is a literature review,mainly combing the relationship between news and collective memory,and the evolution process of poverty alleviation reports.In the second part,Nvivo software was used to code,and a comparative analysis was made on how Guizhou Daily and People's Daily carried out memory practice in the news reports on poverty alleviation.The third part summarizes the narrative features of the poverty alleviation report,and summarizes what can be used for reference by other types of reports.The fourth part summarizes the characteristics of the practice of memory reporting on poverty alleviation.The last part is the reflection after the understanding of the characteristics,the role of different media in the report of poverty alleviation,the memory "values" formed by these roles,and the role of such values in social value orientation and social integration.
