Research On The Application Of Wechat Mini Program In Library

With the rapid development of big data and mobile Internet,advanced technologies have also been developed rapidly.WeChat,Weibo and other new media have become an important channel for information acquisition and dissemination,providing a new channel for information dissemination and interactive communication.It has had a profound impact on people’s communication and life behavior.As an important place for people to acquire information and resources and innovate knowledge,library bears the functions of knowledge transmission,information acquisition and social public service.It is of great importance to broaden knowledge dissemination channels through new media.Among them,WeChat has become one of the most popular instant messaging software in China with a strong user base.Its interactivity and flexibility have formed the service mode of "connecting people with people","connecting people with services" and "connecting people with business",which is deeply loved by libraries.At present,more and more libraries are adhering to the working concept of "reading around".By using the public account of WeChat platform and WeChat mini program,they provide users with reading services anytime and anywhere,so that readers can enjoy the library information resources without leaving home.This not only innovates the way of library service,but also provides convenience for readers to use fragmented time to read.Compared with WeChat public account,WeChat mini program has been developed and launched for a relatively short time.Only three years has passed,so the study on the overall application of WeChat mini program in the library is not comprehensive enough.So to WeChat mini program application in libraries as the theme,with forty-two "double first-class" university libraries and thirty-one provincial public libraries as the research object,using literature study,the domestic application about WeChat mini program in the library,as well as foreign literature review for the application of social media in the library,this paper summarizes the current research status of the current.At the same time,using the network survey method,the investigation of each library WeChat public number,collect the mini programs published on the menu bar;Use sogou WeChat column to collect tweets about "mini programs" from the official micro accounts of various libraries to understand the information about mini programs application;Through the search function of WeChat,search "×× library mini program",and select the mini program of the library from the retrieval results.Using the above methods,this paper makes a thorough and comprehensive investigation on forty-two "double first-class" university libraries and thirty-one provincial public libraries,and summarizes the overall application of WeChat mini program in libraries from the perspective of users.The service provided by the library WeChat mini program is investigated.The service direction mainly includes digital reading,online reading,reading activities,book retrieval and some personalized services.According to the survey results,the library WeChat mini program can meet the needs of convenience,diversification and social needs of the audience.At the same time,through the use of small programs,it is found that there are some problems in the application process,such as lack of service characteristics,non-standard use,insufficient publicity,late maintenance and less cooperation,which affect the user’s use experience.To solve the above problems,this paper puts forward some specific suggestions,such as actively developing innovative services,standardizing the use and management of small programs,perfecting the promotion mode,perfecting the late maintenance of library small programs,and strengthening cooperation,and looks into the future of the application of WeChat small programs in the library.
