Research On Alumni Service Of "Double First-Class" University Library In China

The "Public Library Law of the People's Republic of China" formally implemented in 2018 proposed that the state support university libraries to open to the public.Many university libraries have actively responded to legal initiatives and strived to explore the way to open to the public.However,the social public is a very complex group.Opening library resources to the public has many hidden dangers in terms of school safety and collection protection.Secondly,the literature in university libraries is mainly aimed at students and teachers in schools,rather than aimed at people of all ages and fields,and there is a certain deviation in supply and demand.Finally,the collections of university libraries are limited,and the collections of many university libraries match the needs of the teachers and students of the university.The participation of the public may cause certain problems in the collection resources,which will cause pressure on the library's resources and finances.Alumni,as a large group cultivated by their alma mater,have deep feelings with their alma mater.They are familiar with the environment and the use of the library.Their information literacy and literature requirements are matched with the university library.University libraries provide alumni services with many advantages in terms of matching resource requirements,talent literacy,and security.This paper investigates the status of alumni services in China's "double first-class" university libraries,understands the current status of alumni services in various modules of China's university libraries,analyzes the cases that have achieved results,and explores the problems existing in the development of services and proposes corresponding Suggestions for improvement are hoped to provide help for the construction of alumni service in college libraries in China.This article is divided into six parts.The first part mainly explains the background and significance of the alumni service of Chinese university libraries,describes the research and development status of alumni services in domestic and foreign university libraries,and briefly describes the research content and research of this article.Methods and innovations;the second part is the survey design and data analysis of the status of alumni services in 42 "double first-class" university libraries in China;the third part selects three cases with rich alumni service content for analysis;the fourth part combines research Analysis of the situation and cases found problems in the "double first-class" alumni service of college libraries.The fifth part is the suggestions for improving the problems existing in the alumni service of Chinese university libraries in the fourth part.The sixth part is the conclusion.
