With the advent of the Internet age,the way people read and communicate is increasingly dependent on mobile terminals.As a cross-platform instant messaging tool under smart terminals,We Chat has quietly become an indispensable information platform in people's daily lives.As an important national reading service organization,the library has long established a We Chat public platform,using We Chat as an important means of promotion and communication.In 2017,the comeout of We Chat Mini Programs quickly attracted the attention of all walks of life,such as no installation,easy access,use-and-go,and no downloads.The library field will also try to promote library reading.College libraries with a large number of young readers have innate advantages in the application of We Chat Mini Program.Most college library users are students and academic staff with strong learning ability and high acceptance of new things.At the same time,under the fast-paced lifestyle,the reading methods of this group of people are fragmented and electronic.The reading needs of university library users coincide with the advantages of We Chat Mini Program.Using We Chat Mini program for reading promotion,university libraries can enhance readers' interest in reading and strengthen deep reading.We Chat mini program can also be used for reading promotion activities,which is conducive for university libraries to provide more complete services.This study first investigated the application of We Chat Mini Program among 605 university libraries,and conducted a detailed analysis of the distribution of online Mini Programs,as well as their numbers,sources and functions.According to the analysis of the survey,the current application of We Chat Mini Program by university libraries is under the trial stage.Most university libraries choose to introduce finished We Chat Mini Program,and thus lack personalized reading promotion services.Secondly,this study designed a questionnaire to investigate the usage and tendency of readers on the We Chat Mini Program of university libraries,comprehensively analyzed the real needs of college library users,and finally designed the frame and page of the mini programs.We Chat Mini Program mainly has three functional modules: activity promotion,reader community and public platform.The three modules jointly improve the reading promotion service of university libraries.Finally,considering the reading promotion of university libraries and the actual application of We Chat Mini Program together,a set of reading promotion strategies for university libraries based on We Chat Mini Program are summarized in this study.It mainly combines the online strategy and offline strategy as a dual strategy,and uses professional team building as a logistical guarantee.Online reading promotion strategies include launching book review activities,reading check-in competitions,linking official accounts and other related resources to give full play to the role of publicity;offline reading promotion strategies include attracting new users,encouraging the establishment of offline reading groups,and launching offline reading promotion activities;University library's own team building includes establishing professional teams and seeking technical resource support,fully exploring readers' needs,and learning from the mature experience of cooperative units.
