With the change and upgrading of communication technology and the improvement of network penetration rate,short video came into being and quickly exploded.As a major category of short videos,beauty short videos are very popular in major new media platforms.In recent years,the research on beauty short video has attracted more and more academic attention and is becoming a direction of short video research.In this study,606 short video works published by some beauty bloggers on Xiaohongshu platform during the period from September 2022 to February 2023 will be selected as research samples by stratified sampling,and the research methods such as literature research,observation and case analysis will be adopted,and the three-level theory of framework will be used to construct the categories of sample short videos.Through statistical analysis of the data,the content presentation characteristics of beautyshort videos on Xiaohongshu platform will be explored.Using the three-level framework theory,the content of short beauty videos is divided into three levels: high,medium and low,and the corresponding categories are constructed.According to the characteristics of short beauty videos,some adjustments are made on the basis of this theory.After that,through statistical analysis,this paper studies the characteristics and shortcomings of the short video content of beauty in Xiaohongshu platform,and puts forward targeted optimization suggestions.Through the statistical analysis of category usage,we can explore and summarize the characteristics of the content framework of short beauty videos on the platform of Little Red Book: in the high-level framework,we find that short video topics are concentrated,and the topics only include beauty categories and evaluation categories.In addition,the emotional tone of the video is mostly positive.In the middle-level framework,the distribution of themes is uneven,and emphasis is placed on plot alternation and opinion expression;In the low-level framework,the gap between the amount of interaction and the number of fans is wide,and the use of video effects is relatively simple.According to this,it can be found that the short beauty video of Xiaohongshu has distinct characteristics in content presentation: focusing on beauty experience sharing and beauty product evaluation on the content theme,and keeping up with real-time hotspots to make the short video content more effective;In terms of video narration,videos are mostly positive and positive to attract users’ attention.At the same time,the short video scene is single and the characters appearing in the camera are basically fixed,which adds intimacy and familiarity to the short video content;In the video packaging,exclamations and interrogative sentences are often used in titles,and special effects are used in videos to highlight the key points of video content and increase readability.In terms of video release characteristics,videos are good at finding the right release time to enhance the communication effect,and at the same time,hot topics are added to enhance the exposure and popularity of short videos in the platform.At the same time,after studying and analyzing the content of short beauty videos on Xiaohongshu platform,we can also find that there are still some problems and shortcomings in the content presentation of short beauty videos on Xiaohongshu platform,such as insufficient interaction of comments,homogenization of content,and poor guidance,which aggravate the general appearance anxiety in society.In view of the problems existing in the content presentation of the short beauty video of Little Red Book,this paper also puts forward some feasible suggestions from the aspects of innovation motivation,content segmentation and correct guidance.
