Electronic information industry is a new industry which is a kind of fund-raising,technology intensive and knowledge intensive industry,and has become an important index of comprehensive competitiveness evaluation of a country or region.With the deepening of reform,the electronic information industry in China has achieved rapid development,and the importance of improving the competitiveness of electronic information industry for high-quality economic development and industrial structure optimization and upgrading has been highlighted.It can lay a solid foundation for China's economic development by upgrading the level of industrial foundation and industrial development modernization.Dongguan,as an important member of Guangdong Province electronic information corridor,has made remarkable achievements in electronic information manufacturing.However,facing the complex situation of economic pressure downward and the pace of docking with the world economy,the paper studies the development status of Dongguan electronic information industry,and makes clear the existing problems and puts forward relevant suggestions through comparative analysis and research with other cities' competitiveness of electronic information industry,and tries to promote the high-quality development of Dongguan electronic information industry.In order to fully and truly reflect the competitive situation of Dongguan electronic information industry,based on the relevant knowledge of industrial competitiveness,this paper compares and analyzes the competition situation of electronic information industry in eight regions including Dongguan by factor analysis.Specifically,firstly,the author combs the relevant definitions of electronic information industry by domestic and foreign scholars,and systematically expounds the theoretical source,definition and influencing factors model of industrial competitiveness.Secondly,the paper analyzes the status quo of electronic information industry in the world,China and Dongguan qualitatively,divides the industrial competitiveness into three aspects: production competition,market competition and innovation competition,and establishes its evaluation system.Third,the paper selects 7 other regions of four electronic information industry regions to compare with Dongguan factors,discusses the advantages and disadvantages of Dongguan competition based on the analysis results,and puts forward the targeted policy suggestions to promote the high-quality development of Dongguan electronic information industry based on its specific status and characteristics.The results show that the competitiveness of Dongguan's electronic information industry is in the middle and upper reaches,with large industrial scale,strong production competitiveness,high market share and strong market competitive advantage.However,there are also problems.The low ranking of innovation competitiveness exposes the problems of poor innovation ability,insufficient sustainable development ability and low economic efficiency.According to the research results of this paper,from the perspective of the government and enterprises,put forward the corresponding suggestions.At the government level,there are mainly:(1)accurate industrial support,optimize the industrial structure;(2)strengthen the "Guang Guan Shen" regional cooperation,ensure the coordinated development of Bay Area;(3)optimize the business environment,build a development platform;(4)improve the supply of talent elements,strengthen the introduction of talents.The enterprise level is:(1)increase R & D investment,improve the level of innovative technology;(2)rely on regional resources,deepen the advantage of industrial agglomeration;(3)adjust the market structure,reduce the degree of dependence on foreign countries.
