Research On The Upgrading Of China's New Display Industry From The Perspective Of Global Value Chain

Since the reform and opening up,China's economic development has been witnessed by all.China's GDP has been catching up with the rest of the world.According to the data on the website of the national bureau of statistics,China's GDP in 2018 reached 9030.9 billion yuan,up 6.6% from the previous year,ranking second only to the United States.China's policy-making departments have always made many important and correct strategic plans based on the current situation of China's economic development and the future trend of China's economic development.China started to establish strategic emerging industries in 1992,and the classification of strategic emerging industries(2018)issued by the national bureau of statistics in 2018 not only shows the development of China,but also the determination of the country to grow stronger.The new generation of information technology is one of the strategic emerging industries,the leading industry in the field of optoelectronics is a new display device,is a new economic growth point in the future,is also one of the basic pillars of electronic information products in the information industry,its development quality also restricts the development of the entire information industry to some extent.New display industry chain is at the heart of a hierarchical link,the new display industry chain in our country mainly concentrated in the middle and lower reaches of panel manufacturing,Chinese panel production line has the advantages of high investment,support the government enterprises in recent years,a lot of the production line has been formally put into production,shipment panel area is rising year by year,lead to serious excess capacity.China's new display industry is faced with the shortage of upstream core technology,raw materials and equipment supply self-sufficiency,downstream overcapacity crisis,optimization and upgrading of the new display industry is imminent.Globalization deepening,division of labor pattern also by domestic division of labor gradually into the international division of labor,to promote the efficiency of trade makes each country involved in the global value chain division of labor system,our country has been acting the most populous country,and also play the comparative advantage of labor and resources,since the reform and opening up,due to the labor force price,our country has established the OEM assembly workshop,many developed countries gradually integrated into the global value chain division of labor system,in the global value chain low-end,low added value.China's new display industry started late,relying on resources,labor and government support in the middle and lower reaches of the development of rapid,but the new displayindustry high value-added link is still firmly in the hands of other countries.The ultimate goal of upgrading the new display industry is to increase the added value of the industry,master core technologies,key materials and instruments,and enhance the division of labor in the global value chain.This article mainly includes theoretical and empirical,theoretical part is to assume that the two countries in the global value chain division of labor,to establish a simple new display industrial chain model of labor division evolution,the analysis found that when a country industrial chain upstream technical barriers(present)under normal operation of supply chain supply,with the improvement of transaction efficiency,new display industry value chain from self-sufficiency in the international division of labor division evolution of structure development,in the endogenous or exogenous advantages of the division of labor can be to achieve the optimal benefits and complete the international division of labor is the best state of labor division evolution.When a country industrial chain upstream supply chain supply under the condition of abnormal,namely due to reasons such as trade barriers hampering the upstream technology or the transfer of raw materials,their struggle to find alternatives,so completely international division of labor advantage is gradually replaced by the middle of the high product price,will eventually return to a state of division of domestic completely,at this point,if the domestic no strength among r&d or find other alternative products,is the country's industry chain will be collapse;If China has the r&d foundation of core technologies,when enterprises develop core technologies,the added value of the country's industry will be higher and higher,the division of labor in the global value chain will be enhanced,and the new display industry will be upgraded.Empirical part according to the influencing factors of industrial upgrading,the use of 2003-2014 input-output table of the international measure index of global value chain division of labor status in our country,with the ball value chain division status index as proxy variable of industrial upgrading,and other factors do the regression analysis,finally combining with the theory and the empirical part of the conclusion,puts forward relevant industrial upgrading scheme.
