People's Daily Online “The Belt And Road Initiative” Reports And Research On The National Images Of Counties Along The Route

In 2013,General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward the " The Belt and Road" Initiative,which includes two great ideas at the level of "Silk Road Economic Belt" and "21st Century Maritime Silk Road".For China,this is a major initiative for international exchanges in the new era,and an important measure to create a sound external environment and further expand the process of opening up.For the participating member states,this is an opportunity for the participating " The Belt and Road Initiative " countries to show their strength and image,and a development mode conforming to the trend of economic globalization.It is an important bridge for the world to realize a community with a shared future for mankind.National image has become one of the important part of national soft power,the stand or fall of national image for a country's development plays a decisive role,by reporting the text to the relevant media,in-depth analysis of countries along the "area" in the process of participate in the initiative attitude and highlight image,so that the optimized way and report content.This paper chooses one of the largest comprehensive network media on the Internet-People's Daily Online to collect the data needed in this paper.As a national key news website,People's Daily Online has always undertaken the important propaganda task of "reporting the world and spreading China".In this paper,the analysis method of big data was used to search the People's Daily website with " The Belt and Road Initiative " as the key word,and a total of more than 140,000 texts were obtained from January 2014 to July 2020.After eliminating duplicate texts,58,418 news reports were finally obtained.The content of "One Belt and One Road" and the names of countries appearing in the news reports were selected as the research samples,according to the regional differences,economic strength and the degree of civilization,and so on and so forth,the final choice of countries along the "area" of five countries as the main object of study,including Singapore,Turkey,Russia,Mongolia and kazakhstan,and make the following analysis:First,statistical analysis was made of the changes in the number of “The Belt and Road Initiative” news reports in the seven years,and the annual relevant reports in six regions,major countries along the Belt and Road,and five sample countries were respectively analyzed.It was found that there were more relevant news reports in ASEAN region,and Russia was mentioned more frequently in the seven years.Secondly,word frequency analysis was conducted on the news report texts of five countries,and it was found that words such as infrastructure,culture,growth and so on,such as promoting development,enhancing consensus and promoting development,appeared more frequently.Thirdly,the thematic model of LDA is constructed based on text,and it is found that economy,culture and diplomacy are the most important topics in relevant reports.Fourth,to understand the initiative of "area" all the way along the countries involved in the process of attitude and emotion on news title text analysis,comparison of different countries in initiative cooperation attitude,the results show that on the whole,five countries to "area" initiative has been a positive attitude,especially the news reports about kazakhstan,positive emotions tend to be higher than that of other countries.Fifthly,the images presented by the news reports of the five typical sample countries are as follows: Singapore mainly develops the shipping industry;Turkey focuses on the development of cultural tourism;Russia shows the image of actively expanding cooperation with China in multiple fields,and the state of cooperation is gradually and steadily moving forward.The image of Mongolia focusing on economic cooperation and cultural tourism is reflected in its news reports.Kazakhstan,on the other hand,is portrayed in the news as an energy power and a country that values cultural exchanges.Countries along the sixth,of the People's Daily online about in the "area" initiative of news report,news report content single,reported the number of balance and the national image is not distinct characteristics,therefore,the People's Daily on reporting "area" initiative,to spread national voice,lead culture mutual learning,optimizing agenda-setting,The national image of countries along the Belt and Road should be shaped in a more diversified way.
