With the rapid development of science and technology,the media industry is now facing great changes in both portal sites and mobile terminals under the background of widespread use of 5G network.In today's media competition,new media is the real main battlefield,and the biggest concern of traditional media is how to make changes.Media transformation requires a comprehensive reform and improvement from content,channel,technology,human resources and operation,that is,to break the original rigid procedures and to realize integration and fusion of media,rather than merely develop a mobile phone terminal or operate several We Chat official accounts.The important role of human resource management for the overall development of media needs to be emphasized,and performance appraisal is a crucial part of human resource management.As a large-scale official news agency in the western region with a history of more than 60 years,X news agency,which is responsible for conveying messages of the municipal Party committee and the government and publicizing images of the city,has been planning to develop new media as early as the beginning of 2013.So far,there have been more than 100 employees in its new media department.During its development for years,the performance appraisal of editors in new media department still conform to the traditional mode because of the limitation of system,that is,to gather and edit news assigned by the news agency.Lacking of innovative thinking and enthusiasm has led to its slow development of media integration.How to improve the competitiveness of X news agency through performance appraisal is a problem that needs to be solved urgently.Therefore,taking X news agency as an example,this paper,based on the performance appraisal theory in human resource management,studies its performance appraisal system and attempts to optimize the performance appraisal system of employees in new media department using the research ideas of reviewing current situation-finding problems-analyzing causes-solving problems.Through questionnaire,in-depth interview and study of performance appraisal theory,this paper analyzes the current performance appraisal system of its new media personnel,points out the problems and analyzes the deep-seated reasons.On the basis of the above investigation and researches,the performance appraisal system of editing staff is optimized and designed,the feasible implementation scheme and safeguard measures are put forward,and the conclusion and prospect are drawn.The development of new media and media integration in China has not been long.The researches of this paper are beneficial to the establishment of a scientific and reasonable performance appraisal system in new media industry,and has certain reference significance for the industry under the marketization.
