With the explosion of Internet of Things and big data,embedded devices have stricter requirements for system memory performance.As the memory overlord on traditional PC,DDR3 SDRAM has the features of large capacity,low consumption and high performance,which can greatly meet the needs of current embedded systems in data processing.Since DDR3 DSRAM needs to meet specific timing to work properly,a high-speed storage interface system is needed to achieve read and write operations of DDR3 SDRAM.AXI,as a new generation of high-performance embedded system bus for low consumption,high bandwidth,and low latency,can show excellent performance in high-speed data processing tasks.In the research and development of ad hoc network radio,its physical layer needs to frequently access multiple channels of video data.Therefore,this article designs a DDR3 high-speed storage interface system based on AXI4 bus to meet the storage requirements of ad hoc network radio.Based on the shortcomings of the current mainstream AXI bus-based DDR3 memory interface system,the paper designs and proposes a DDR3 high-speed memory interface system model based on the AXI4 bus after fully studying the AXI4 bus specification and the working principle of DDR3.In view of the core problems that the interface system needs to solve,this article divides the storage interface system into three important modules,respectively,the AXI4-FIFO module that is responsible for solving the system's data interaction problems under cross-clock domains,the interface conversion module matching the AXI4 bus protocol and the DDR3 interface protocol,and the DDR3 memory controller module completing the DDR3 complex timing management.Through the board-level verification results,it is concluded that the storage interface system designed in this paper has obvious advantages in performance compared with the traditional storage interface system,and has a very high data storage rate and bandwidth utilization.Compared with traditional interface systems,the high-speed storage interface system has the following characteristics:(1)The highest data frequency supporting memory modules is 1866 MHz,and the maximum capacity is 8Gbit.(2)The maximum effective bandwidth is 8.56Gb/s,and the bandwidth utilization rate can reach 64.1%?71.8% by using 200 MHz clock.(3)Provides software-configurable register interface for supporting memory modules with different parameters.(4)Applicable to embedded systems with high flexibility and strong reusability.
