With its large storage capacity, high speed, real-time display features, high-speed videomemory has already been widely applied to aerial surveillance, underwater video capture,security, transportation, industry, education on land and other fields. The present storage speedof video memorized system is usually relatively low and poor in real time, so it is necessary todesign a high frame rate video memory with high speed and real-time display.In this paper, based on high-speed video memory applications in underwater videodata acquisition as application background, the use of high-performance storage mediaDDR3-SDRAM as a core part of the high-speed video memory storage, which not onlyimproved the speed of the video data is stored, but also increased the bandwidth utilization ofthe video data is stored, solved the general video memory easily encountered problem whichis due to the video data storage speed is not enough to cause the frame loss. In addition to thevideo memory also has the characteristics of wide range of applications and flexible oftransplantation to meet the video data storage needs of different occasions.In this paper, on basis of depth understand and study of the development andapplication background of high speed video memory, compared the DDR3-SDRAM and thegeneral memory in structure and performance, and based on analyzing the index of the videodata which needs to be collected, and ultimately determined the design scheme of high-speedvideo memory based on DDR3-SDRAM. On the basis of the scheme, focuses on the researchof DDR3-SDRAM controller design method, introduces the CMOS camera output dataformat, which data is output through camera link interface, the hardware circuit of eachmodule of this memory is designed, finally built a hardware test platform of high speed videostorage device based on DDR3-SDRAM. By using the method of software testing andhardware monitoring to verify the video signal, the results show that the reasonable designcan improve the utilization rate of the bandwidth of DDR3-SDRAM, the video data can bethrough the storage of the high speed video memory storage and finally real-time display onthe host computer, and all the data is not lost.
