Poor children are the most vulnerable group in a society,which is widely concerned and highly valued by the state and society.The state has adopted a series of policies and economic measures to help poor children,with a view to enabling them to achieve good development.The poor children living in Tibetan areas,on the one hand,are under pressure from poverty,on the other hand,they are also suffering from cultural shock and regional relatively backward stimulation.In recent years,continuous research shows that poverty will affect children's cognitive development level,poor children and non-poor children's cognitive development is different.For social workers,how to use social work professional methods to effectively intervene in poor children's cognitive ability improvement needs to be studied.In view of the present situation of poor children in Gannan Tibetan area,this study took the poor children in the first and second grade of primary school in Z village of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture as the research object,the first grade children as the control group and the second grade children as the intervention group.Using the scale to measure the subjects,and based on the needs assessment,this paper analyzes the needs of these poor Tibetan children to improve their cognitive ability,and actively seeks feasible social work methods.According to the theory of cognitive development and ecosystem theory,combined with the actual situation of poor children in Gannan Tibetan area,this paper puts forward the intervention method of using group work"game-inspired sharing summary".the scale measurement found that the cognitive ability of these poor children was indeed lower than the average of children's cognitive ability in previous studies,as shown in the social insight,interpersonal skills and interpersonal problem-solving ability.the average of children in z village primary school was lower than that of children in previous studies.Observation and interviews also found that children in village Z showed a fear of life,timidity and poor expression,while they lacked self-confidence,good self-awareness and the ability to understand and adapt to bad situations.Then the group activities were designed for two months based on the measurement of the scale and the observation of the interview results.The results of the study showed that the group for improving the cognitive ability of the poor children in Z Village Primary School in Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture had a more accurate understanding of themselves and others,improved the empathy ability of the group members,enhanced their ability to understand the environment and adapt to the environment,enhanced their ability to solve interpersonal problems and promoted their socialization.The whole practical process not only enhances the cognitive ability of the intervention group,but also enriches the social work intervention experience of the poor children in Tibet.
