| As a historical town on the Silk Road,Dunhuang has witnessed the development of the Silk Road and the fusion of exotic art and Chinese culture.The culture of Dunhuang reflects the inclusiveness of Eastern culture towards foreign cultures and demonstrates the spiritual and aesthetic connotations of a confident nation.The cultural values of Dunhuang are used to give cultural connotations to the packaging design of Dunhuang’s casual foods,which is of positive significance in promoting local economic development.At present,the packaging design of Dunhuang’s casual foods presents a lack of visual recognition of regional symbols and a lack of awareness of the cultural value of establishing regional brands.This article provides a systematic summary of existing research findings,and explores the fluctuating levels of local design development in the context of Dunhuang’s changing strategic focus.Through preliminary research and data collection,and using Dunhuang’s local snack foods,the "Eight Monsters of Dunhuang",as the packaging design object,the article explores the extraction and expression of Dunhuang’s unique cultural elements,such as the algae well,the nine-coloured deer,and the flying sky,to explore the design of local snack foods that are both tourist-oriented,culturally resonant,and interesting.Food packaging.This paper relies on the special cultural elements of Dunhuang’s cultural resources to improve the design of the packaging of the local leisure food "Dunhuang Eight Monsters",to enhance the cultural connotation and cultural added value of the "Dunhuang Eight Monsters" brand,and to provide some insights into the regional cultural connotation and identity of the packaging of regional products in China.The design of the "Dunhuang Eight Monsters" brand has been improved to enhance the cultural connotation and cultural added value of the "Dunhuang Eight Monsters" brand. |
