As one of the concentrated areas of red cultural resources,Nanjing contains a magnificent 30-year history of the new democratic revolution.The rich red cultural resources strongly prove that Nanjing is an important part of the Chinese red cultural system.As a result,many commemorative carriers have also been born,and Yuhua tea is one of them.There are many kinds of existing tea brands,but their packaging design has shown a similar trend.Therefore,through research,analysis and integration of red culture,making full use of red cultural resources can reshape the brand image of Yuhua tea.Using packaging as a material carrier can promote red culture,enrich the form,theory and education function of packaging design,promote the development of characteristic industries of Yuhua tea and reshape local tea brands.This project takes "Shengfeng Yuhua Tea" as the design research object.Taking advantage of the red culture in Nanjing can provide new design elements for Yuhua tea packaging design,present a unique "red" tea packaging,and spread red culture and tea culture.First of all,on account of the epoch feature,through survey of the actuality of domestic and foreign tea packaging design,it is clear that the meaning of innovation is that red culture can reshape the Shengfeng Yuhua tea brand.Secondly,by being familiar with Nanjing’s red cultural resources and the development status of Yuhua tea industry,the application value of the fusion output of the two is obtained by using SWOT analysis method.Finally,by analyzing the forms of Nanjing’s red cultural material and ideology,combined with the attributes and characteristics of Yuhua tea products,using the bionic design method,the Shengfeng Yuhua tea brand packaging is creatively designed from the perspective of color,graphics,text,shape and materials.In the end,the brand packaging of Shengfeng Yuhua Tea with profound red cultural connotation and unique brand image was created to increase its popularity.This paper explores the application of red culture in tea packaging.On the one hand,it adds the material carrier of red culture,innovates the communication path,and promotes people’s cognition of red culture.On the other hand,it solves the shortcomings of modern tea packaging design to a certain extent and meets the spirit of today’s consumers need.While spreading red culture,it can improve the cross correlation among consumers,packaging and products,expand the function of packaging design,prolong the life cycle of packaging,and enrich the cultural connotation of packaging brands,thereby enhancing brand influence,promoting red culture and Yuhua tea industry goes hand in hand.
