| With the improvement of the economy and the advancement of technology,the competition in the beverage packaging market has become more and more intense.The integration of regional cultural elements in packaging design can not only meet the increasing emotional and aesthetic needs of modern people,but also show the charm of regional culture,distinguishing it from other brands with a unique style.With the rising status of regional culture in product packaging design,its application to beverage packaging design has become an important factor in enhancing brand value and core competitiveness.This paper firstly provides design ideas for local beverage packaging by analysing the current situation of beverage packaging design at home and abroad.Secondly,it compares the concept of regional culture and the theory of regional packaging,and discusses the significance of the use of regional characteristics in local packaging design.Then,through an in-depth understanding of the development history of “Hankow Second Factory”,the current situation is analysed and a design positioning is proposed to provide a design basis for beverage packaging that incorporates regional cultural characteristics.The design is based on Wuhan’s regional culture,exploring the most characteristic landmarks,iconic landscapes and cultural elements of the city,and conceptualising the visual shape and colours of Wuhan.In the design practice,the elements of architectural appearance,scenic spots and marketplace culture were selected and refined,and the visual elements suitable for the design of “Hankow Second Factory” beverage packaging were chosen.Finally,a summary of the design exploration is presented,as well as an outlook on the design of the “Hankow Second Factory”beverage packaging in the context of Wuhan’s regional culture.Packaging is a symbol of a brand’s image,and is particularly important for brands with a regional identity.This project combines the regional culture and the packaging design of “Hankow Second Factory” drinks,which plays an important role in the inheritance and development of the regional culture,increasing the cultural connotation of brand and helping to enhance the brand image. |
