Research On Coupling Of Green Water Resources Efficiency And High-Quality Economic Development In The Yellow River Basin

The Yellow River Basin is the major ecological defence and economic region in our country,which has great effects not only on the progress of economy and society but also on ecological protection.However,there are many water problems in the Yellow River basin,such as water resources shortage,severe water pollution,fragile ecological environment,and so on.The contradiction between economy and ecological protection is prominent,which restricts the level of economic development in the Yellow River basin.As a rigid constraint,water resources impact regional development.The Yellow River Basin has entered a new stage of ecological protection and high-quality development,and has put forward higher requirements for water resources utilization and management.Therefore,the concept of green development is integrated into the development and utilization of water resources,which promotes the coordinated development of water resources and economy,and then promotes the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.Based on the panel data of the nine provinces of the Yellow River Basin from 2005 to 2019,the SBM-Undesirable model and entropy method are used to calculate and analysis the green water resources efficiency and the high-quality economic development level of the Yellow River Basin.The coupling coordination model is used to calculate the coupling degree and the coordination degree.The results show that:(1)The green water resources efficiency in the Yellow River Basin showed a fluctuating upward trend from 2005 to 2019,and the green water resources efficiency in the middle and lower reaches was higher than that in the middle and upper reaches,showing the distribution characteristics of east high and west low;(2)The comprehensive score of high-quality economic development level in the Yellow River Basin is increasing year by year,the level of high-quality economic development is constantly improving,and the level of high-quality economic development in Shandong,Sichuan,Shaanxi and Henan is superior to the other five provinces as a whole;(3)The coupling degree between the green water resources efficiency and the high-quality economic development level in the Yellow River Basin from 2005 to 2019 shows an overall upward trend.The coupling degree in the middle and lower reaches is higher than that in the middle and upper reaches;(4)From 2005 to 2019,the degree of coupling coordination between green water resources efficiency and high-quality economic development level in the Yellow River Basin is on the rise,and the degree of coordination is getting higher and higher,which has experienced four stages: barely coordination,primary coordination,intermediate coordination and good coordination.The middle and upper reaches have experienced three stages from reluctantly coordination to primary coordination to intermediate coordination,and the middle and lower reaches have experienced three stages from primary coordination to intermediate coordination to good coordination,and the degree of coordination in all provinces is improving.
