The gap between water demand and supply has always been one of the most important challenges that China urgently needs to address.Water,an essential resource for the survival of humanity and for social and economic development,has been overexploited.China,which has always been regarded as a resource-rich country,is not optimistic about its water resources.As a strategic source of water resources,the Yangtze River Basin is an important economic zone for China.It is essential to implement the sustainable use of the Yangtze River Basin’s water resources to promote China’s economic development.The report submitted to the 20 th CPC National People’s Congress states that there is a need to coordinate the ecological management of water resources,water environment and water,and to promote the ecological protection and management of important rivers and lakes,which will set new and higher requirements for the protection of water resources in the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Zone in the new period.In order to better promote the integrated development of water resources and economy in the Yangtze River Economic Zone,this thesis analyzes the ecological efficiency of water resources and the comprehensive index of quality economic development of the provinces in the Yangtze River Economic Zone,and explores their interrelationship and coordination,which are of great importance for promoting the green development of the Yangtze River Economic Zone.Based on the panel data of nine provinces and two cities in the Yangtze River basin for the period 2006-2020,the Malmquist index model is used to calculate and analyse the green efficiency of the common factor water resources,and the entropy method is used to quantitatively analyse the level of quality economic development.Finally,the degree of linkage and degree of coordination between water resources and economic development is measured using the coordination model,and the grey forecasting model is used to forecast and analyse according to the degree of coordination.The main conclusions of the analysis presented in this thesis are as follows:(1)Between2006 and 2020,the overall green efficiency of the water resources factor will gradually increase in all provinces and cities of the Yangtze River basin.Efficiency values in upstream and downstream areas are close,and efficiency values in midstream areas are lower than those in upstream and downstream areas.(2)Between 2006 and 2020,the provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Economic Zone will show an upward trend in quality economic development indicators.At the same time,the indicators of downstream and upstream regions gradually declined,with Shanghai,Zhejiang and Jiangsu having the highest indicators,clearly outperforming other provinces.(3)Between 2006 and 2020,the level of linkage between the ecological efficiency of water resources and high-quality economic development of the common factor has obviously fluctuated,and the level of linkage has increased moderately from coordination to good coordination.While there is a slight decline in the middle,it tends to increase overall. |
