Smart city attracts increasingly attention of the whole word following the rapid development of economy and urbanization in China.It is a further explanation of digitization,combing with informatization,industrialization and urbanization.Smart city construction is not only an important approach to urbanization development,but also an accelerated factor for the economy growth and building a harmony society.Smart city construction includes economy informatization,management intelligence,environmental maintenance automation,the convenience of residents' life.The development of smart city is a complicated procedure,having effects on different aspects toward cities like economy,politics,and culture and information level.China has introduced policies to promote the development of smart city since the related terms apparent domestically.Industrial structure optimization is a dynamic process aimed to industrial structure rationalization and upgrading.It is also helpful for balancing industry structure and resource supply structure,technological structure,demand structure.There are many factors needed to be considered when planning and implementing the related works such as collaboration between different industrials for the maximization of economic benefit.Smart city development brings opportunities and challenges for industrial structure optimization.More adjustments are supposed to be done for following the new trend and the overall development of China.According to prior studies,many of them paid more attention on smart city and industrial structure respectively or the effect of the former on the latter but studied less on the influence of the industrial structure optimization on developing smart city.Thus,this paper aims to work out the above question and conclude the relationship between the two.Firstly,the paper is going to describe international and domestic studies for the further analysis of this topic.29 sample cities of China will be chosen to build indicator systems of smart city and industrial structure optimization evaluation,and the explanation of indicators will be attached to this paper.Entropy weight method is going to be used for analyzing current situations of smart city development and industrial structure optimization respectively based on above indicator systems.Additionally,industrial structure optimization will be treated as independent variable as well as industrial digitization and smart city will be treated as metavariable and dependent variable based on the method of intermediary effect to develop the empirical analysis for the relationship between above subjects.The result of the analysis shows a significant relationship between industrial structure optimization and smart city which means the former could have influence on the latter through the industrial digitization as the intermediary variable.Finally,advices will be provided according to the results of analysis.
