Since the program Super Girls was launched in 2005,“talent show”has become one of the most popular mode for manufacturing stars in Chinese entertainment industry.Variety TV shows with the theme of talent show have sprung up in succession,creating an amount of superstars resoundingly.Meanwhile,“fan culture”has also entered the vision of the public and domestic scholars.The model of talent shows for grassroots stars has been prevalent in China for many years,until domestic agency companies turned their attention to the idol-production industry in Japan and South Korea,and introduced the idol cultivation mode from abroad.Although both modes have the commonality since they both make an unknown group became famous through media communication,there are significant differences between them.Idol cultivation mode has becoming one of the most universality modes of creating stars in China.The nurturing idols created in this mode are favored by countless young people in an instant,resulting in the growing influence of cultivating idols fans and their unique fan culture.As a type of traditional fan culture,this fan culture for idol has gradually become noticeable in the social culture,and has also become a new topic for scholars.This paper collects,analyzes and inducts the literature related to the selected topic.Through online participatory observation and dictation of the cultivating idol fans,the paper studies and explains the generation process,cultural characteristics and cultural essence of the cultivating idol fans culture,and considers the possible dilemma for the culture and solutions from the game theory perspective.The paper is divided into six parts.In the first part of the introduction,the author introduces the background and significance of the research from five aspects:the research background,the research purpose,the main research methods,the research object and the research status at home and abroad.Through the analysis and summary of the existing literature results,the author establishes a logical starting point for this paper.The second part mainly studies the generation and formation process of cultivating idols and their fan culture,puts forward the concept of cultivating idols,and uses the theory of Encoding and Decoding to review the generation mechanism of such fans and their fan culture.Considering the perspective of characteristics.The third part and the fourth part study the content,form and significance of the culture of cultivating idol fans,elaborate the specific performance and meaning of the twoidentities of cultivating idol fans as the guardian and supporter of idol career in the process of idol development,showing the user stickiness and high investment of this kind of fan culture.The fifth part,based on the culture industry theory of Frankfurt school,explores the industrialization phenomenon in the culture of idol cultivation and the fan culture of cultivating idol respectively,and the negative impact on the culture itself and its cultural audience after the formation of the industrialization phenomenon.Starting with the countermeasures to optimize the idol cultivation industry mode,it puts forward the ideas and vision for the reform of the mode based on different levels.The last part of the conclusion summarizes the viewpoints and research results of this paper,in order to provide research direction and theoretical reference for the following research.
