Research On The Media Construction Of Collective Memory In The 70th Anniversary Of The Founding Of New China

Celebrating the 70 th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China is a major event in China's political life in 2019.As the recorder and witness of the times,the media plays an important role in awakening and constructing the collective memory of the masses about a major event.Collective memory is the basis for a community to establish deep identity and solidarity.It explores the media construction mechanism of our country's 70 th anniversary collective memory.It can theoretically verify and enrich the theoretical framework of the media when constructing the collective memory of major historical events.In-depth exploration of how the media can better construct collective memory provides reference.According to the different subjects of memory construction,this study examines the collective memory construction of the 70 th anniversary of the National Discourse and the interactive relationship between the official and private memory fields.This article uses text analysis,content analysis to select the People's Daily newspaper,We Chat,Weibo platform,and Weibo hot search list as representatives of the official and private memory fields,with "memory what" With "how to memorize" as the thinking,explore what kind of collective memory picture of the National Day was constructed by the two,what memories are highlighted by the two sides,what is the difference,and try to analyze the reasons.The study found that the official memory field represented by the People's Daily,through differentiated construction of various media platforms and multi-platform linkage,highlighted five aspects of memory:achievement memory,active memory(mainly the memory of National Day celebration),character memory,Historical memory and reflective memory,through a series of carefully selected themes,emphasized the leadership core role of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the leadership position of the Communist Party of China,highlighting the scientific nature and the correctness of the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics,Fundamentally embodies the propaganda essence of the national media collective memory built by the official media.In the folk memory field represented by Weibo Hot Search,netizens have actively written the National Day memories and fragmented expressions from an individual perspective,highlighting the National Day movie memory,National Day grand ceremony memory,confession of the motherland memory and National Day holiday memory,their memory themes Compared with the People's Daily,it is obviously microscopic,and reflects the obvious political daily turn.It integrates the serious national political issue into thedaily narrative,which is close to people's daily life and extends the extension of the collective memory of the National Day.The resonance of the book deepens the construction of memory,but the daily construction of memory also invisibly plays a certain role in deconstructing the authority of political rituals.In the folk memory field of the 70 th National Day,fan nationalism and pan-entertainment trends also appeared.At the same time,as a social media platform,the fragmentation of Weibo's content and dissemination resulted in fragmented and shallow memory,making the "shelf life" of memory a new issue.On the whole,the official media actively set the agenda,guide the private participation in the construction of collective memory,actively compete for the ideological discourse,and played a leading role in the interaction with the private memory field.Under the guidance of the powerful momentum of the official media,private individuals were fully activated,and netizens took the initiative to voice and cooperate actively,leaving a multi-angle National Day memory text,which greatly enriched the text of the official memory field construction.Thus,both of official and folk memory field completed the construction of the collective memory of national day.
