This paper describes the study result for how to boost IT service management level with the innovation manner based on the background of Joint Venture Petrochemical Company which located in China mainland."Innovation manner" doesn't mean revolutionary change or total solution change but the minor practical change or fit for purpose solution based on the understanding of existing IT service management theory and best practice.Although the argument of IT service management whether constrained by a certain industry area is not yet determined,for the convenience of understanding for readers,the background of the company and petrochemical industry in China are briefly introduced in this article as well,include the company's location,predictability,value,vision,organization,and conditioned environment for IT service delivery.From the perspective of the management team of the company,if value added and sustainable improved IT services can be delivered for steadily supporting to plant production and marketing is essential.Otherwise it also could cause a huge lost if any interruption to the business due to IT service issues.How to promote IT service management level is still a challenge for an IT leader in such an industry environment,despite there're so many IT service management theory and best practices for reference.The international standard of IT management-ITIL(Information Technology Infrastructure Library)is adopted for the research of how to promote IT service management level.The study focus on the findings on the area of IT service management process,tools,and people who involve for daily IT service supply.Some basic analyze tool is leveraged for existing IT services review for the purpose to find out top 3 major problems,which are important or urgent to be resolved.The detailed information for how to research the findings from existing IT service management status and how to determine the severity of the problems are offered in the paper.The findings and the resolution of the study have naturally led the conclusion:Base one the practice with the Enovation mindset,to establish ZHQSH own IT service procedure and IT service management system could be a good ways to boost IT management service Level.The detailed proposal,implementation plan,risk management principle and evaluation methodology is also introduced.
