The rapid development of information technology (IT) has got a far-reaching impact on modern enterprises. It promoted the operation of the enterprise business model to change from the traditional business model to the modern business model on the basis of the information technology usage. IT service management is the proper management of IT to make it match the needs of business enterprises. Therefore it has become a key factor for enterprises to win in the fierce market competition.This paper first briefly introduces the theory of IT service management and ITIL(Information Technology Infrastructure Library), followed by a detailed analysis of the XG company's present IT service status. And then it identifies the key problems by user interview, problem evaluation charts and Pareto-Chart analysis and by analyzing the key problems finds the key factors causing the problems. And correspond the key factors and ITIL service process to use the corresponding ITIL service procedures to eliminate the problems. Then input the results into the ITIL process optimization table to eventually generate the ITIL process optimization Roadmap of XG company. Finally, with the guidance of roadmap, this paper designs process optimization programs in reference of ITIL V2.0 respectively for the IT service desk, the incident management process, problem management, change management and configuration management.This paper mainly focuses on the research of the practice but also considers theories. Through the study of the XG company IT service management, it demonstrates the problems an internal IT departments of an enterprise will meet and how to solve them. The optimization method and process of XG company IT service management will provide practical significance to the similar IT service management of domestic small and medium-sized companies.
