With the continuous development of embedded systems and the continuous innovation of computer vision algorithms,how to combine embedded systems and computer vision algorithms has become a new research direction for scholars.Vision-based image processing technology has important applications in video surveillance,urban management,and human health.However,in practice,it is easy to be affected by factors such as fixed site and poor flexibility,which limits its application range.This paper combines embedded system and image processing algorithm to design an image acquisition and processing system based on embedded platform,which has the advantages of strong real-time performance and high practicability.This article uses ARM(Advanced RISC Machine)processor as the core,equipped with VC++ development environment,designed an image acquisition and processing system.The system is divided into two parts: the server and the client.The embedded development board is used as the server.The external USB(Universal Serial Bus)camera is used to collect video image information using the V4L(Video4Linux)interface.The H.264 encoding is used.The decoding technology processes the video image data,and uses the socket(Socket)of the TCP(Transmission Control Protocol)transmission protocol to realize the transmission and display of the image data,and completes the image storage;the system client selects the VC++ transplanted with OpenCV.Platform,in order to better display the human-computer interaction interface,develop and design image processing system based on MFC framework,realize image graying processing,rotation processing,edge detection,morphological gradient processing,affine transformation and perspective transformation,face detection and other functions,at the same time introduced its algorithm principle and code implementation,and gives the system operation results.This paper has carried out several systematic tests.The experimental results show that the system can complete the embedded image acquisition,and the collected images can be processed in real time on the PC,which achieves the expected design goal.At the end of the paper,the work done in the design process is briefly summarized,and the shortcomings in the image acquisition and processing system are summarized.The future improvement and development are further prospected.
