DM368-based Embedded Digital HD IP Network Camera Acquisition And Processing Module Design

With the improvement of social security specifitions, the quality of video surveillance will alsobe more and more stringent. Traditional video surveillance cameras have a lot of problems both ontransmission distance and on the image clarity. The digital high-definition IP network camera willsolve these problems easily. So researchs on the digital high-definition IP network camera have realitymeaning and value in use. Nowadays, the enhancement of camera definition and the bring-outproblems of frame rate reduction and coding efficient are the mainly research points.In this paper, it is referred to the popular design which uses main controller and main processorstructure. This paper mainly discuss the implement of high-definition IP network camera capture andprocessing and encoding module with TMS320DM368, which is Davinci series ARM+DSParchitecture, and Kodak two megapixel HD CCD image sensor KAI-02150.During the design process, the system uses I2C bus to control the front-end video image capturesensor, sending the command. According to the analysis of the original image data from the imagesensor, the processor changes the parameters of capture to implete auto explosure and auto whitebalance algorithm, which will make the quality of the image better. Then, process the original RAWimage data to get better quality HD image, such as color interpolation, color space conversion, videoimage format rearrangement and so on. Finally, encode the image data, and then transport thecompressed image data to the computer side for watching. This paper arranges several sections toanalyse the above content. At last, it points out the disadvantage of this design and sugests the furtherwork which should be done.During the process of the design, programs have been debugged and changed several times, atlast, it shows a high quality HD video image.
